Winston's face was a picture when Ashleigh was revealed to be saved from noms this week. I think she would have been on a lot of people's hit list with the money so close. He has been quietly cruising through without doing much of anything. It won't have gone unnoticed that Ashleigh was chosen to be power housemate by the public and then received cheers on eviction night. NOW this is the third example of her popularity with the public.

He had that forced half smile…. but inside… FFS look !! LOLOL.

Still like him. Why shouldn't he be disappointed. He stood up for Ashleigh anyway.
He deserves the power he's been amazing with never a bad word to say about anyone.

To be fair though he had used up all his available processing power trying to handle the information about secret societies, freemasons and illuminate etc. His face after that conversation was a picture too.

As an aside, the random nature of the question provoked me to Google. I am rather amused to find a Wikipedia list of the top 10 secret societies. Isn't that a contradiction in terms?

That whole conversation with Chris about the Illuminati left me deeply unsatisfied. Winston's face looked troubled.......and that was the end of it. Boo

I did notice that look. He really looked like he was shocked. I think that he thought that it would be one of his gang. Pav looked lost. I feel really bad for him

Yes me too. It came from nowhere and went nowhere. Probably why I was motivated to look it up.

He stood up for her once, when Helen was really laying into her when BB betrayed her diary room comments to Helen. Then he just went back to being one of Helen's lapdogs.
From what I've read, Ashleigh didn't really need him standing up for her but BB cut out her standing up for herself and some of Helen's nastier comments.

Did you miss the episodes when he went to town on Marlon and Pav?

Perhaps BB cut out what Ashleigh said to protect her. I.e making her look far too cocky. Just a thought.

Does anyone else think that Winston would have made a play for Ashleigh if she didn't have a boyfriend? I think he's been really taken with her from day one and would have loved to get close to her and protect her from Helen in the early days and weeks.

Exactly. Winston is a bit like Mark as in being an opportunist. Standing up for what he thinks the public would like, but failing miserably in being a total bully in his two-man stance against Helen and also his three-man stance against Marlon.

Chris wasn't actually wrong.
Where do you think the name Freemasons came from?

I think Ashleigh likes clever guys and although Winston is quite smart, he'd already painted himself into a corner with his stupid but lovable Essex lad routine. Tamara was perfect for him.
