He has been quietly cruising through without doing much of anything. It won't have gone unnoticed that Ashleigh was chosen to be power housemate by the public and then received cheers on eviction night. NOW this is the third example of her popularity with the public.

He stood up for her once, when Helen was really laying into her when BB betrayed her diary room comments to Helen. Then he just went back to being one of Helen's lapdogs.
From what I've read, Ashleigh didn't really need him standing up for her but BB cut out her standing up for herself and some of Helen's nastier comments.

Exactly. Winston is a bit like Mark as in being an opportunist. Standing up for what he thinks the public would like, but failing miserably in being a total bully in his two-man stance against Helen and also his three-man stance against Marlon.
