Anyone know what the story is? both Jac and members of her family got targeted by a troll on Twitter who kept saying she was only in EE because of her looks and that she was the worst actress ever.

Jac is leading a campaign about it.

Jacqueline, a victim of online bullying herself, says: “When I was subjected to abuse from online bullies it was upsetting at first, but I could turn off my phone, not read the messages or simply take no notice of them. But with webcam hacking or 'ratting', people are being targeted often without their knowledge, and the results can be devastating. I would urge everyone to just to follow some basic rules and make sure that they use the internet safely and wisely."

These trolls must have bitter lives.

It takes a stupid, stupid person to target My Lauren like that

I will look for them, I will find them, and I will throw rocks at them.

The problem is some actors are criticised and they take that bullying them. JJ is a mediocre actress, passable but shes going to find some comments she doesn't like online.

There's a difference between finding criticism online and being deliberately targeted by bullies sending hateful messages though, isn't there?

Yes definitely but some people are prone to exaggeration and sometimes a comment about an actors acting ability can be exaggerated and labeled as hate. Just saying sometimes you need to step back and try and differentiate. Because some people can't.

That link is from February this year. Hopefully the trolls have since crawled back under their stones.

Criticism works best when the person receiving it believes you have their best interests at heart. There's no good motive behind someone tweeting ''ur a sh*t actress'' to her for example.

Exactly, that isn't criticism, that is just sending hate.

Yes. Nasty thing to tweet but if it was a one off comment from 1 user I'm not sure its bullying. Just one nobhead thinking they're clever.

I read a particular blog from time to time, and the author uses those insults almost verbatim about Jacqueline Jossa in almost every review.

This is a soap forum and as far as I am concerned that means the stories and characters that we see between 7.30 and 8pm or whatever. There are a lot of people on here who seem more interested by the real life actors and actresses. I dont mind watching Wayne Rooney on the football field but my interest in him is over the minute he walks off it.
