All,

finally upgrading my Nokia C-201 to something more modern. I thought about an android based phone, but being disabled, and having somewhat poor motor control, I thought a touchscreen may be a bit of a labour (I do have a tablet but, the idea with the phone is that they are quick to use). So I have settled on the Blackberry Q10. I know this does have a touchscreen element to it, but I can manage that. just wanted opinions on it generally. How are the apps, compared to android? (I am thinking particularly of Tunein radio and Twiiter, are they good ports?

Many Thanks

Do yourself a long-term favour and get a full touch screen phone. Blackberry 10 has not caught on on the app situation is poor.

I think something like a Lumia 1520 would be good for you. The larger size (6") can mean everything is bigger, Windows Phone's sparse style can mean the touch targets are larger (or more forgiving) meaning easier to operate.

Windows Phone also has decent accessibility options built in too.

I had been a great fan of Blackberry going back years for my business phone and had liked every model that I'd used but I just couldn't get to grips with the BB10 operating system. I tried the Q10 and Z10 phone and didn't like either of them.

Hi.
I have the Blackberry Z10.
I'm going to upgrade to the Blackberry Classic (Q20) later in the year when it's available. ( Have you thought about the Classic ?? ).
I use twitter with no problems easy to use. I have never used Tunein Radio.
As for Apps when the new 10.3 software update becomes available BB10 will also have Amazon AppStore .

The world of marketing has gone crazy when a newly released phone is called a "Classic". At least it looks like a decent design and should appeal to the small number of keyboard die-hards. The Passport on the other hand looks totally weird.
