A midwife came over 'do you want to express some milk that we can put down his tube as he isn't ready for either breast milk or formula milk
It was painful 'carol hadn't planned to breast feed but knew it was best while he was in the incubator.

Carol loved him. Neil hadn't been to the hospital much and was annoyed Carol hadn't been with him much.
Carol carried the carseat into the living room of her home. She smiled at Neil who was sat in front of the TV. Baby Barry was sleeping peacefully.
"Neil!!!" Carol exclaimed.
"What????" Neil snapped. "Now are you coming upstairs or what??"
"You've woken Barry up so I can't!" Carol said secretly pleased. She didn't like Neil in this mood.

Carol lifted the baby out of his car seat and shushed him, she placed a dummy in his mouth and sat down with him in her arms. She was going to get Neil to bond with this baby, his son, if it was the last thing she done.
"Neil stop!!! I need to feed Barry, you know our son? The son you've barely seen since he was born three weeks ago!"
