Hello guys and girls, and welcome to the thread for my 2014/15 Premier League Teams' Scorers Prediction Competition! This is a new competition for DS and it involves predicting a scorer for EVERY team, EVERY game week. Below is the list of rules which I have compiled:-
Rules:-
- For each game week of the 2014/15 Premier League season, you must predict ONE scorer for each team. For each goal your chosen players score, you will get 5 points.
- For example, if in a game between Arsenal and Manchester City, you selected Theo Walcott and Sergio Agόero as your chosen scorers and they both scored once, you would earn 10 points for that game.
- You are NOT required to predict the scoreline of the match, only a player from each team who you believe will score.
- The matches being played in a game week will be posted on the Monday before the game week begins (or on Sunday for midweek games).
- You are allowed to pick the same player as someone else.
- You can change as many of your selections as you like for every game week or opt for the same scorers on consecutive weeks.
- If you don't post your selections for a particular game week, I will use your selections from the previous game week.
- Player selections must be submitted before the opening game of that game week.
- You are permitted to change your predictions for any game that hasn't kicked off yet.
- At the end of each game week, I will post the updated points table. This will show your points totals for each individual week, plus your overall points total.
- At the end of the season, the participant with the most points will be the winner.
- In the event that there is a tie at the top of the table at the end of the season, then the involved participants will predict a scorer for both teams involved in the Champions League Final.
- If there is still a tie, then the winner will be the participant whose most selected player scored the most goals during the season.
- For example, if the tied participants had selected Daniel Sturridge and Robin Van Persie most often and Sturridge scored more Premier League goals than Van Persie that season, then the person who'd selected Sturridge most often would be the winner.
If there are any rules you don't understand or anything you think I have missed out, please let me know.
I will be compiling stats along the way; these are:-
Participants/Selections:-
- A record will be kept of all participants in the competition and their selections for that game week.
Players Selected/Selections:-
- This will show which players have been selected the most for that game week.
Participant Selection History:-
- Each participant's selections throughout the competition will be totalled up to show which players they select most regularly.
Premier League Top Scorers/Selections:-
- I will post a full list of the current top scorers in the Premier League at the end of each game week, along with the number of times they have been selected in total.
Most Popular Player Selections/Goals Scored:-
- In addition to this, a list will be posted of the players selected most often, along with the number of goals they have scored during the season so far.
If you need any further explanation of any of these stats or if there are any other stats you would like me to keep a record of, please let me know.
