Or Come Dine With Me (non celebrity edition).

As for BIB, I expect the standard response to that is, "My powers don't work that way"

I am not exactly respected by my peers, but here in the non-psychic community we all agree he is an embarrassment to our society too

I agree. Seems legit.

This is not true. There is plenty of evidence that people are able to predict the future. Look up Sollog. He warned of the 911 attacks three years to the day before they happened. Proof of this is still out there in the form of Google time-stamped post that anyone can see.

I don't see why people humour Mark on this, instead of calling him out on it.

If someone has genuine beliefs I suppose that is one thing but (as I fully suspect is the case with the majority of 'mediums' or 'psychics') when all the evidence points to someone making it up for attention or as part of their 'character' or worse for money fame or fortune etc I think they are totally fair game for being exposed.

Talking about psychics and alleged psychic ability, and the vast swathes of conmen and women who exploit the vulnerable in the real world by doing exactly what Mark is doing is not out of order IMO, in fact quite the opposite.

It still amazes me that tv and the media (not just BB or BOTS) both encourage and endorse this kind of thing. For me it is far from sweet and very far from innocent.

Body Language Expert" Calls Psychics Nonsense

So does Derren Brown. He debunks them at every chance...

Psychic ability, however, is total nonsense, quite obviously.”

Let's put it like this: no one has yet claimed James Randi's million dollars for proving that they have psychic abilities.

No. What you say is not true. There is zero evidence that people are able to predict the future.

Monkeys. Typewriters. Shakespeare.

Even if he did, this is of course proof of nothing. Has he replicated it? How do you differentiate chance/ coincidence to actual proof.

I fail to see how any rational person could blindly believe that a one off instance (or even several) is any kind of actual proof of being able to predict the future.

I mean come on now. Seriously?

So presumably Sollog has come forward to prove his powers in a controlled manner, rather than just spamming ambiguous dates and events and getting lucky?

The prize has not been claimed.”

Apologies, Theredendi. I hadn't read your post before I fired off mine.

Out of interest does anyone remember a c4 or c5 program called "The man who Paints the future" - Obviously not a controlled environment in any sense, but it was quite intriguing. From looking on google his name is David Mandell.

If someone can't predict that Helen is going to ballz up their hair after her attempts with Christopher and 'Mummy'sBlinds-Boy' and allows a continuation of the said 'haircut'...they in my humble opinion are a charlatan....and deserve all that comes their way...great work Helen!!!

I live on a street full of psychics, which is very useful, as we don't need to talk to each other.

It is so unfair on Mark and his beliefs. What right has that shrivelled up scrote got to piss over the pychic world when that witch was allowed to pedall her holy trinity in the house.

How many other Indian animals with stripes can you think of, that's not psychic ability its power of suggestion ie think of an animal with a trunk, you will say elephant think of an African animal with scales and a forked tongue you will say snake.I sometimes will say something all of a sudden like we haven't heard from uncle bill for a while and an hour later he will ring, my son was at work trying to think what he meant to ask his boss, just at that moment I sent him a text saying don't forget to ask your boss about Friday I bet you forget but I just put it down to coincidence although my hubby and son call me (in fun) a witch

I think a fair portion lot of the 'non psychic world' feel that the psychic world rather pisses all over itself.

If you were stuck in a confined space 24/7 with Mark and had a choice between him chatting shit at a reasonable sound level, amusing himself and no one else or Mark screaming at the top of his lungs that you'd disrespected him and the spirit world while organising a hustings against you. Which would you choose?

What I don't understand is how no one's brained the little scrote with a blunt object, yet.

Of course it's not a flaming scientific explanation because it's me saying what it COULD be. Sigh...

It's delightful to see such well-deserved scepticism, both about psychics and about a particular body language "expert". The latter is about as trustworthy as the former, and about as reliable as a BBC weather forecast.

I'll say this for Judy James - She never "feels it in her waters".

I don't think it particularly delightful. I prefer to hear rational discussions and not just biased mocking.
