Ok so Sharon and Phil's wedding is either the week of the 22nd September or the week of the 29th September going off the date of 27th that Phil said in yesterdays episode.

This means its much later than I expected. As Sam Womack only returned to filming last week and its the wedding they are filming now this means Ronnie isn't the one who starts the fire.

So as the fire happens before the wedding that only leaves us with these plausible options

Aleks - as revenge towards Alfie

Dean - some sort of strange revenge against Jean and Stacey for what happened with Sean

Alfie himself for some sort of scam? although Slaters don't own their house so this seems unlikely

Roxy - angry that Stacey is out of prison for killing her dead?

An outside bet - Rachel Branning? same reason as Roxy. Bradley's name was dragged through the mud because of Stacey's lies. Maybe she lashes out in revenge?

Isn't the culprit a whodunnit though? So Ronnie could start it but not be seen until it is revealed.

I can't see any of the Slaters starting the fire. I think Dean is a likely candidate.

No, We will see who starts it and then watch as they live with the actions of what they have done. So someone, obviously not Stacey as she looked ok in the clip DTC posted for the morning of Sharon's wedding, will be badly hurt.

Why do people think Ronnie would start it?

Her beef with Kat and Alfie is over now and as Ronnie is also pregnant I doubt they would bring the dreaded baby swap back up. I think EE want to forget it ever happened and Ronnie continuing to harm Kat and Alfie would just take us back to square one. Sam quit in the first place because she hated swapping a dead baby for a live one so I can't see her being happy at setting fire to a house with new born babies inside.. can you?

Really can't see it being Ronnie, she's messed up but she's not a villain, she wouldn't deliberately start a fire where there are new-borns, or Tommy, or with Kat and Alfie inside- Ronnie has no problem with Stacey either!

I reckon it will be Aleks to get back at Alfie but he won't know that people were inside.

Maybe in the time leading up to it, when all the key players are actually back in the show, on screen, we'll be given a clear motive/suspect for it? I can't see Alecks setting fire to a house with 8 or 9 people in it - 4 of whom are children - to get back at Alfie for something he did in June. And I can't see Lola trying to burn down a house with so many children inside to get back at Stacey for getting a job.

Like some posters have pointed out, it's almost impossible to make any solid predictions. We don't know what's to come in the coming months. I'd expect that nearer the time, we'll be steered towards a group of suspects.
