Okay Seriously.....Couple Of Things...Re: "Game Playing", Chris & Ashleigh etc
RabidWolverine1

Just so many places to start pointing out the hypocrisy and double standards of some people on this forum or their you know, ability to just completely over react.

1. Ever heard the expression you can't be offened on someone's behalf, so why all the outrage of Chris and how he treats Pav? Is it nice how Chris treats him? Absolutely Not, and he has admitted that after it has been pointed out to him (maybe because it was pointed out to him) BUT Pav himself has commented Chris is treating him fairly and has had chats with him about things. If Pav isn't outraged despite knowing now what the public thinks of Chris now then why should anyone else?

2. The whole "Chris is playing a game". WHO CARES? Big Brother is no longer a "Social Experiment" and has been a game show for years. Even if he did play a game then fair play to him, if he came in with a plan on how to do well. As a minimum he has had it to the end of week 8 of this series and has survived a few evictions. Since when was it a bad thing? Also where was this outrage at Dexter playing a game last year? (Which was practically admitted to) Where was the public outrage at Aaron Morgan playing a game and Winning his series, Same can be said for the likes of Slcik Vic.

3. Chris is 33, Ashleigh is 18. 15 years age gap, not old enough to be her father (in most normal circumstances). They are both of legal age adults and Ashleigh is a stunning girl. Chris shouldn't have commented on Pav "staring" if he was "staring" but there is nothing like with fancying her. Its not creepy, its a normal part of life. Are any of you seriously suggesting you have never seen anyone or tv or in real life who maybe a good few years older than you (Or younger depending on your age) and not thought they were good looking. Short of someone being Asexual its a Normal human emotion. Chris has not at any point made a move on Ashleigh, he has never done anything which has caused Ashleigh to express any feeling of discomfort (Remember Ashleigh saying to Chris "You always made me happier" when Danielle was evicted). Nobody in the house who live there 24/7 have raised any concern over his behaviour. If he has a crush on her, so what? Im sure theres a fair few people in the UK right now who also have a crush on her (Myself included and im 25 though thats irrelivant).

It may indeed be obvious I am both an Ashleigh and Chris fan and spoke of wanting either one of them to win a few weeks ago, which i still stand by but I can see the faults of them and know they are not perfect.

But Chris isn't creepy, he has a crush. Playing a game isn't a bad thing and Pav can decide knowing what he knows if he wants an issue with Chris.

Some of the topics/posts (like people saying they fear for Ashleigh's safety or BB need to intervene) are beyond baffling.

Ashleigh & Pav are more than capable of making an issue if they gad one. Ashleigh IS friends with Chris and Pav wants to be, so let them try and whatever happens, happens.

Whilst I agree it is a gameshow and having a gameplan isn't a bad thing per se ..it does depend on how you conduct yourself.

Chris ...imo ... is acting strangely around Ashleigh from a viewers pov (or I should say in my pov) ... as a fellow hm that could easily be missed. However the threads re Ashleighs safety and Chris losing it are a bit ott ... but this is a BB forum and our opinions differ and sometimes appear odd but it's a bit 'tongue in cheek' ..imo... and shouldn't be taken to seriously... all imo of course.

It's an extension of the show and we .. ok .. some ... just try to have fun with it and not take it to seriously ...

You can get delirious
If you take life too serious.

I can't argue with any of your post.

Over the years I have noticed that BB viewers kind of latch on to a HM's behaviour and blow it up into something huge. Helen was a bit gobby and argumentative, next thing you know she's vile, damaged, needs psychological help, BB should throw her out (for behaving like half of Britain in every pub on a Friday night after one too many Stellas) blah blah
Steven acts a bit cringey like he's never had a real live girlfriend before and next thing you know this forum is full of people bickering about him being a possessive wife beater.
Chris spends time with an attractive younger woman and lo and behold we have endless posts about him being a creepy pervert.

Mountains out of molehills!

PS re the whole gameplan thing, you'd be a fool to go on BB without one.

Because it's you Rabid and because I know you aren't going to get all Twilight Zone on me, I'm going to have a stab at this speaking for myself only.

What's creepy about Chris is that I assumed that the confident, erudite, witty, reasonably intelligent observer we saw in the DR was the real Chris - his authentic self that he was impeded from being in the house due to being stifled and ignored by bigger personalities.

And I was fine with that. I thought he was unnecessarily horrible about the others at times but I did find myself laughing - especially if he was horrid about someone who I felt deserved the tongue-lashing he gave.

Then, as time went on, I realised that the persona he adopted for the DR was exactly that - a persona. To me, that's creepy. That you can be one person when you're alone in front of a camera and someone else entirely when you're around people. I also saw that he lacked backbone and failed to stand up for himself and he failed to stick up for others too.....sorry Rabid but it was things like that that made me lose respect for him, although not totally.

No, when I lost what shred of respect I had left for him was when I saw how he was prepared to do to Pav the exact same thing that happened to him and it didn't stop with just excluding him.

When he projected onto Pav whatever these feelings are that he has for Ashleigh ( and I don't give a fook how much he tried to sell it to his fellow FMs of 'doing it privately' he knew damned well there was every chance we'd see it) by having his little chat, he made an already nervous and out-of-sorts Pav feel like shit.

There was no need for it. Even if Pav was staring at Ashleigh, there was no need for what he did. He'd never confronted a single person in all those weeks no matter how deserving they might have been to be confronted.

He confronted Pav for no reason other than that he perceived Pav to be weaker and I'm afraid I really don't like people who do that kind of shit.

He's been a good HM but I don't like the bloke - sorry. After all this time of him being in there he's probably the person I feel I know the least. I don't know when he's bullshitting us, or himself or both. I don't know how someone who kept telling us there was nobody on his wavelength to talk to cos they're all so bloody thick is supposedly happy to sit for hours nattering away about whatever it is that 18 year old girls want to talk about.

But who knows.....being a highly complex absolute bullshitter didn't do Dexter any harm last year, did it?

Great post, I agree entirely with your opinion of Chris, I'm not sure which is the real Chris but I know I dont like him. I did at first, probably because of the power housemate thing but he has gone down, and down in my opinion and I dont like his behaviour towards Pav and he creeps me out the way he acts toward Ashleigh.

Well said Bunions, I totally agree apart from Chris being a good housemate that is!

You are spot on with everything about Chris, I don't really know who he is either. He is so different in the DR to what he is to people's faces, especially when it comes to Pav. I don't like his attitude to Pav and how he has tried to turn others against him and he obviously does like Ashleigh more than he is letting on to most of them although he has already told Christopher that he knows he stares at her himself and that he loves and adores her. I do think that Chris is creepy round Ashleigh too.
