So, specifically regarding BBUK on C5 why would anyone in their right mind want to become a housemate. I can't think of one person this year that would walk away from this experience being "better off". Most of these housemates either have personalities that the public don't like, been exposed by BB, been subject to selective editing to suit certain story lines C5 want to run or have public backlash for certain things said and or done in the BB house. BBUK seems more of a career killer than a career booster, i couldn't think of a more faster and efficient way to damage someones credibility, status, rapport etc... than by going on BBUK.

Of course as the saying goes "if you build it they will come", yet for the life of me the way someone can so easily be demonized either via themselves, the producers, other housemates or the public and still think "yeah... this is a good idea" is beyond me.

The show has become such a cheap carnival of meaningless, uninteresting, not well thought out series of events all designed to character assassinate these people so we the public can laugh at them from the peanut gallery. Ugh...

Considering this current season is the last civilian season to be honored by contract and to my knowledge hasn't been renewed, perhaps this show actually needs to go away and bury itself or at least take a hiatus until someone in touch with the public that actually has good ideas can produce the ****ing thing. Rant over.”

You only need to look at how they describe BB on their website....

"Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother are now well established in the schedule – and stripped of any pretentiousness about “social experiments” are focused on real life entertainment."

This sums it up as they announced would happen when they first signed a contract with Endemol. What I find laughable is the "real life entertainment" bit replacing the "social experiments" bit because there is NOTHING remotely real life about today's BB! I am unable to relate to a single hm in this one or indeed since Channel 5 took over!!
