Haven't watched for months, but I remember when Liz came back there was no reunion with Deirdre and they barely shared a scene. Just wondering?

What do you expect? The writers just can't bloody write anymore. Corrie desperately needs a flush-out of the crap writers and some new ones brought in.

I WANT MORE LIZ AND DEIRDRE SCENES.

They have interacted a bit here and there at the bar and that one time where she dragged Liz and Eileen out and them pair argued over Tony... yet then it came across like Eileen was Deidre's closer friend and ditto Liz. Then she made some flimzy excuse to avoid taking her and Peter in despite them being long-standing friends and Steve being Peter's only friend when the Barlows was being turned over by the coppers... probably so as not to wake the dragon in Miss Rolly Eyes Foldy Arms. I think Blackburn's regime is the sort where if it doesn't directly connect to whatever genius storyline idea he's contrived then it doesn't need to be shown. He had his flaws but natural, entertaining character interaction was something Collinson was very good at, sorely lacking of late.

Liz's return was pointless. She has barely done anything since she returned a year ago.

Collinson came out with some really sensationalist crap during his reign - but you're right, the show did feel a lot more watchable back then than it does now. We don't get any happy stories or any decent character interaction any more. It's just plot after plot after plot now regardless of whether it's in-character or not.

I think it's been a successful gradual return.
She was no doubt involved in the big Tina story and played a huge part in it as the first person to know about the affair.
Then she went out with Tony which is actually entertaining and interesting.
She'll no doubt be involved with Jim later this year now that he's returning

Get them both on a night out with the red wine flowing, dressed in their boob tubes and chain belts

Yeah it's really annoying Deirdre and Liz had one of the best friendships on the street it's a shame it's being ignored. Same with Gail and Sally they were really good mates in the 90s and now barely interact it's not like either of then have any other friends either.

Dierdre and Liz do speak to each other often, especially recently. It would be nice if they continue to have random chats. During this stint, there's been more focus on her friendship with Eileen now that she's with Tony. I like Tony and Liz together, though it's obviously not going to last once he's exposed as a scheming dodgy dealer.

Yes I was just about to comment about Gail and Sally too. I'd hate to see Deirdre and Liz's friendship become as forgotten as theirs'.

I wish Deirdre and Liz, and Gail and Sally interacted more :/ real shame. Not everything has to be about partners and children

They've turned Gail, Deirdre & Liz into idiots. I can remember that they were once really feisty characters back in the 80s/90s but of late they're now utter air heads. Rita is another one, she used to be quite feisty and still can be, but the lines they're giving her now are poor. Watch some episodes on youtube and you'll see what I mean.

I think Eileen is the only woman on the street these days who can be both a seriously strong fiesty woman with elements of comedy...
