Why Do People Complain About Everything?
BillionBets
31-07-2014
Just going on this week:

"Zoe talked down about 9-5ers! Get her out!"
"People talked about Pav when he wasn't there! Get them out!"
"Chris gave Ashleigh a hug that was too long! Get the creep out!"
"Ashleigh snapped at Christopher this morning! Get the b*tch out!"
"Mark threw a potato at Christopher! Get that fake out!"

I know people can have opinions on the major storylines, but why does everyone jump on a bandwagon after every 5 minute video uploaded to Facebook/YouTube?

Maybe the reason HMs appear to be more "unlikeable" this year is viewers have lost all critical thinking to the point where 10 seconds of negativity in a HL show is now the end of a HM?

We're British is our job to moan.

So why are you complaining about people complaining.

Hyperbole, bandwagon jumping and an obsession with artificially creating underdogs to satisfy themselves. The problem with this though is that people are so obsessed with highlighting negative traits about the housemates it leads to people eventually choosing the least offensive contestants to support and eventually win, failing to realise however that the reason they are not offensive is because they haven't done anything at all.

The likes of a Brian Dowling, Nadia or an Aaron could never win the show these days because of this obsession with focusing on negatives rather then positives.

You seem to be ignoring the bandwagons where people will militantly defend a housemate no matter how badly they act or how wrong they are

The show has just turned into a big negative fest sometimes. Watching earlier series back shows you how positive they were. It was about who was your favourite, not who do you hate and want out

So what? That's what forums are for.

But I thought the producers chose the winner these days?

If it's positive-only comments you are after the Appreciation Threads are at the top of the main page. You won't find anyone complaining there.

Enjoy ☻

BIB

And I liked Aaron, but I think he got the same kind of "bandwagon" support only in a different way. He deliberately set himself up as a loner, and people had a clear decision - "Them Lot" or "That Guy". Although his gameplan only worked because of VTS.

I don't mind the bashing threads, just fascinated by how quickly people fall off a bandwagon these days.

The producers seem confident enough now that one bad edit on eviction night is enough to get a housemate out. Just look at Matthew's Thurs and Fri.

Anyone expecting nuanced, intelligent and rational discussion of the housemates has definitely come to the wrong place.

It's a great relief to be able to come here and moan, complain, be outraged and totally un-pc about anything and everything concerning an irrelevant TV show. And to do it all incognito....fantastic.
In my real life I am calm, considerate, uber polite and professional. So in contrast this brings balance to my life.

Best thread I've seen all week. I now find it hilarious and laugh it off. The venom on here for people in a house is pretty funny
