Great little interview with Joey Gill aka Finn Barton on the official emmerdale website. I can not wait to see what the deal is with their mom and the shady history with the even shadier James. Love what he had to say about Ross and Finn having an unspoken close bond as well. "Ross & Finn actually do have this unspoken relationship and they're kind of the closest out of all the brothers...so this really hurts him a lot more than he lets on."

When Finn was in hospital Ross seemed genuinely gutted and it was very sweet to see that protective side to him so I hope we see more of their relationship in the future. They are both incredibly different but then the sarcasm levels and the amazing one liners are identical so I believe them as brothers. I'm really intrigued to see what happens with the elusive Emma and what Finn uncovers. Does anybody else think James has just lied about everything? I reckon she did try to contact the kids and he threw letters away or something. He's so cagey about it all.

I'd quite like it if their mom turned out to be a bit of a mentally unstable character with an evil edge. We haven't had a psychotic woman in the dales who is evil. Barring Charity but she's pretty lovable for the most part.

Here's hoping Emma really shakes things up and is an interesting character. I'd love a Zoe Tate formidable opponent for James.

Yes, I think it all depends on whether they've decided to make James a goodie or a baddie. Either Emma was some sort of nutter and maybe a danger to the kids and he got her sectioned or something for the sake of the boys. Or he's a baddie and he's fed her to the pigs.

Should be interesting either way.

Sorry but this family is starting to bore me now it's like the Carter's in EE being over exposed. The only one I really like is Ross and to be honest I couldn't really care what happened to the mother.

I reckon he will be killed off and there will be a who done it, and it will be between Moria/Adam/Finn/Pete/Ross or the mother.

People on suddenly like Ross due to his top coming off more.

Unfair when the other characters are just in the same league as him.

Ross and Donna are great but it will be short lived. So I am not basing his popularity on that.
