No contact with the outside world.

I used to like it when this was actually adhered to throughout the series.
Now we have letter from home, videos from f and f, public polls, and now the focus group.
The housemates know so much about the public's opinions of them, and can adapt to win favour.
Tampering with the original concept once more.

The original concept ended the moment BB2 ended.

How many more times do I need to post this? Their website states...

"Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother are now well established in the schedule – and stripped of any pretentiousness about “social experiments” are focused on real life entertainment."

This is NOT Big Brother!! They kept the name by 'conning' BB viewers in to watching it. If they had started their own version & called it something else I doubt they would have half the viewers they get now!

I completely agree. It's gone away from the whole concept.

This is why it's the worse series despite some interesting housemates, the producers have gone overboard with this shit, and messing with the noms to much.

I agree OP. The show has gone too far the other way. A few outside world shocks can be interesting, but the cheers and boos every week being overheard modifies all their behaviour in a boring way.

Pav in the diary room literally saying out loud that he's learned from the public what he has to change for the following week.

This, BB, is why so many of us don't want contact with the outside world. Can anybody ram this into BB's thick skull please?

Translation: we're not even pretending to be subtle any more, we're now explicitly producing lowest common denominator, 'arguments and bonking' BS for knuckle-dragging plankton.

it was bad under channel 4 but since its move to 5 its a complete joke.
As last year proved let someone have outside information that isn't even correct and it just blows everything off course. This is from a channel that didn't see a problem in allowing members of the public into the house and watch a film with the Housemates

The housemates know more about the fans general perception of them than the average viewer does.

That isn't even correct? Why change the habit of a lifetime....half their editing isn't even correct if we are to believe the hm's! The funny thing is though every one of those that have been evicted so far have proven to be every bit the horrible people they were in the house & they can't blame editing now for their actions!!
