ETA: What makes me laugh about this whole 'Chris fancies Ashleigh' thing... I imagine all the guys in there fancy her, and most watching the show too. Doesn't make them creepy, makes them male. It also doesn't mean they can't be friends, many a man and woman are friends when one fancies the other and the other doesn't.

Except Chris is anything but harmless. He's full of resentment and spite. He knows how socially inept he is, and feels himself to be totally unattractive to women. And maybe men - could be.
