Ha ha, is is wrong that I quite enjoyed this reply esp the BIB! It was like a nice yet somewhat backhanded compliment but I'll take whatever I get round here.

It's late, my reasoning is a tad impaired with some Friday night frivolities and so I cant explain as per normal but in a nutshell, the likes of Ash have said numerous sexist type things and has been demeaning to women including less physically attractive ones, or those with boobs that don't meet up to his standards, and so I'd have thought any modern feminist that didn't like that kinda stuff from us menfolk might frown on those that said it.

Just a theory. Nothing too crazy I thought, and that's pretty much it. I am learning I can get away with more stuff now anyway, which is a bonus anyway right?

The question, however... was a comparison of one comment versus one comment not the entirety. So... i'm under the assumption we're strictly comparing the context/subtext of the comment Zoe made and the comment Ash made.

The idea being that Zoe was voted out because of the one comment she made, if that were the case why didn't Ash also get voted out because of the one comment he made... i'd assume it was a loaded question to say because Ash is male and Zoe is Female which i don't believe to be the case as i explained, seeing that the only similarity between the two comments is that they're both singular in context/subtext... just because it's one comment on both sides doesn't mean they're exactly the same and so the entire question is somewhat flawed to begin with, even so...

Ash was favourite to go that week but what saved him, apart from his looks, was that Ashleigh was being particularly nasty and bitchy that week and ,boasted about getting Ash nominated as part of her 'evil plan'. The voters voted Matthew to teach her a lesson.

I don't dispute anything you said but what saved him wasn't "being a man". If anything other than what you claim, I think it was complacency.

Nobody should leave after just 1 comment to be fair.

Well it depends what the comment is, doesn't it ?

When Connor made the comment about the hair appliance we were all pretty much agreed that it was enough for him to go, for instance

Zoe made a remark that will follow her for quite a while, and effect her career without question

It's not our fault that she did that ... let's not beat ourselves up about being offended enough to vote her out of the house as a consequence

It wasn't just about one comment.
It was about how she came across in general plus other comments.

Even Zoe going over Ash is sexist now?

Holy flying heck, some of you need to get a grip. Most of the people who vote out women are women. Zoe went because she is overly dramatic and annoying. Her comment was elitist, a trait which the majority of the human race find repulsive. Why is her going got anything to do with Ash? If anyone had said the Tesco comment, they would have been evicted. Male, female or alien.. They'd have been gone.

Ash being saved over Matthew, another male; was offensive? Please! I'm very much a straight guy and I wanted Ash to stay over Matthew. I think Ash is actually a really down to earth and level headed fella despite his looks. Matthew came across as though he had a little bit of a superiority complex. Just because you have a view on someone's personality doesn't mean it is fact people. Zoe going has nothing to do with sexism and you're embarrassing whatever your little cause is by claiming it is so.
