This series has suffered from too much bitching and not enough arguments

I know there has been a lot of conflict, but if you think about it, the last actual big argument we had was as early as week 3 in the Helen vs Matthew thing. I suppose you could include Marlon vs The house but that was just stupid

I do think a lot of the reason for this series struggling comes down to the fact that there has been little arguments and they all happened on the first 3 weeks. And no I'm not including Ashleigh's petty rows with Christopher and Helen 'big' arguments.

Last series we had tons of arguments and it livened things up a lot
This series since all it has been is bitching, it's created a really dull, dreary atmosphere in the house

This series has suffered from crappy HM's,forced drama and no humour.
The end result is the worst BB ever and yes BB4 was better.

That's what happens with vote to evict. Most of the big characters go first, so there's less arguments. If it was VTS, I'm sure there would have been more.

Last year's was VTE though and arguments flowed throughout the series, though it did get a bit forced midway through

I think actually it's more down to the fact there's not ENOUGH big characters this series. Not enough that will get in arguments anyways.

VTE worked well in the C4 era though .. back then the show was popular.

Do you only watch the show for arguments?

Please show where I said that

However, arguments are a big part of the show for me

You created this thread with the premise that there wasn't enough arguments and then backed it up with a reply saying that there wasn't enough "big HM's" that would get into arguments.
So it did leave me wondering if that is your primary reason for watching the show.

People decided to vote out Toya, Pauline, and Jale.. all big characters that would have caused lots of drama. (i'm glad pauline was evicted though)

The vetoed noms argument with Hurricane Toya at full blast was a good one ,especially the "pissing on the toilet seat like a barbaric animal" bit

Reasonable conclusion to come to and to query too IMO.

Oh come on ... the STFU Carole year was a lot more soul-destroying.

So if I made a thread saying there wasn't enough showmances, enough humour, enough twists e.t.c would that mean that's all I watch the show for?

That was hilarious

The Helen/Matthew one was still my favorite though, actually we've only had 4 big arguments this entire series

Helen vs Danielle
Pauline vs Jale
Toya vs Marlon/Ash/Winston
Helen vs Matthew

All in all ... I liked BB8 (I know I'm in a minority) and think it gets harshly judged coming off the back of BB7 which is considered by some as the best BB ever .. Sam & Amanda Marchant are still among my favourite HM's ..

Possibly.
Your reasons are your reasons,I like to see the more light hearted side of the show.
For me arguments and bitchery are for the most part a detriment to the show.
And the production team manipulating situations to create arguments is frankly pathetic.

This series has suffered from....

1. Too much interference/manipulation from BB
2. Too many housemates recruited via StarNow
3. Too much outside information
4. Too many stupid backfiring twists
5. Housemates being evicted without a public vote
6. No live feed
7. Even if it isn't, everything seeming to be scripted
8. Helen's free pass & Steven's ego
9. Bad editing / poor continuity
10. Too much emphasis on negativity/bitching/arguments and not enough fun & laughter
