I'm only a casual viewer of Emmerdale these days and Robbie wasn't there when I was a full time viewer. What exactly has he done wrong?

He gets treated like crap by almost everyone in the village and just seems to take it.

I know...

Declan Macey - Annoys him just by looking at him but after all Robbie was only ever interested in his money and it just gone from there.

Megan Macey (when she first met him.)

Charity Macey - Treats her "nephew" like crap but then she does everyone!

Kerry Wyatt - Head butted him despite Sean Spencer asking for the threat (looked funny as Sean looks older and is much taller than him, when Kerry called Robbie a grown man I forgot he was!)

Cain Dingle - Instantly took a dislike, wish it was revealed he was Cain's son somehow.

Adam Barton - Uses him when he wants something.

Sam Dingle - Jealous he may have something going on with the new girl.

New Girl - Gets him kicked out the house I think?

Funny thing is a really like the character and wish he could have a story or we could find out who his dad is. I reckon the actor will eventually leave which is a shame.

Then again Debbie Dingle and Chas Dingle wouldn't have enough screen time.

The current down-trodden situation of Robbie is making him a much better character.

When they introduced him and tried to portray him as some kind of edgy ladys' man, it just didn't work.

He's far more interesting and sympathetic now. I look forward to him getting an actual plot.

At the moment, he mainly seems to spend his time popping up randomly in other people's houses, putting his feet on the furniture and eating the contents of their fridges. It's like having a rat.

I like him though, he's quite a cute rat with a nice line in sarcasm. And he was great in the Ketamine scenes.

Can't say I was overly impressed when Robbie first appeared; but I've really grown to like the character and think Jamie Shelton plays him really well.

I hope he gets a decent storyline soon rather than continually being portrayed as the "village joke" . Would love to see him trying to trace his real dad as I don't think any of us bought the "your father's dead" line.

When he first came in he was out for what he could get money wise from his birth family (Megan is his mother, Declan his Uncle) and he also made some very heavy passes at Katie, Declan's girlfriend and then wife at the time. He also made Debbie believe she had a stalker so she'd rely on him and spend more time with him, hoping to get her into bed.

But really, he doesn't deserve the level of abuse he gets as he hasn't done anything wrong for ages and there are much worse in the Village.

I like robbie now and feel really, really sorry for him - the poor little sod has nobody that cares about him.

I have always liked Robbie since he arrived. He could be a little annoying at times but he's played by a capable actor so that made it better.

Now I love Robbie and I really hope he gets his own storyline. It made me laugh that when Robbie needed a place to stay Adam was all Sorry mate. With Ross saying he couldn't stay even though they had never even spoken. Now when Adam wants something he goes straight to Robbie. Ugh.

The storylines of yester year tried to portray him as some kind of lady's man, Priya was interested in him at one point and he constantly seemed to try to cop off with Katie and got a bit aggressive where she was concerned, he took Declan's car out for a joyride, he has stole money and done loads of other things, but I quite like him now, it's better that they aren't making him out to be a mini Cain now, I think Ross has took that title off him

They got the character completely wrong when he first arrived. He was supposedly a lady's man, a ducker & diver, a hard man, self reliant & insolent - a man much bigger than his stature would lead you to believe - and that was the problem - no disrespect to Jamie Shelton, but he just couldn't carry that off in an anyway believable manner.

The character was a bit of a joke.

Ironically, they've had the sense to expand on the "joke", and in doing so, have actually created a much more interesting character. They've moulded the character to fit Jamie the actor - and Jamie does play the pathetic, put upon, unloved but resilient part of Robbie extremely well.

I've grown to like the character of Robbie and hope that TPTB flesh out his existence more fully in the future.

I hope he is the one that outs that daft phone sex woman and stops her from making a fool out of Sam, but I know Sam Dingle he never listens to anyone where women are concerned, he's extremely highly sexed, I bet he wasn't just talking to her on the phone, I bet he had pudding in hand.

I find Robbie very attractive actually, so he can stay even if it's just for that.

He's a far better character now than when he first came in it and I like how they've adjusted his character to reflect the kind of acting that Jamie Shelton's seems to be the best at.

It's almost like they don't know what to do with him. He's supported quite a few other characters (various Home Farm dramas, Finn and now Sam and Adam) or had mini one-or-two-episode storylines, but hasn't had his own proper one since he arrived, or at least when Katie and Declan were together.

Finn still owes him because Robbie took the blame for him stealing Declans card, and when he was high on ketamine he was muttering about taking the blame for Adam as well.

She was never interested in him. Robbie kept sniffing about her like a wannabe rapist and she rebuffed him at every attempt.

Robbie is a pointless waste of space played by a seriously dire 'actor'

I struggle to understand with each passing episode why he is still in the show. The rats that live under the Dingles floorboards have more purpose

I think the actor and the character have improved a lot over the past few years. He didn't work as a kind of junior hard man, but now that everyone sees him as a bit of a joke, and he doesn't seem to think that he's 'all that' himself, he's coming across as a much more humble and sympathetic character. I thought the actor was pretty good in the drug scenes and I liked the relationship he was developing with Megan at the beginning of the year. I really hope they don't ruin that by having him take up with the horrible Tracey or whatever her name is.
