When I got my phone almost 2 months ago now I did well to get 1-2 bar signal at home, and even when I did get signal calls and texts would fail. EE sent me a new SIM and no different. Ran all the tests and confirmed I am in an area with variable coverage, meaning it wouldn't be great. They sent me back to the Carphone Warehouse who I got the phone from, they weren't interested as I had waited to long to return the handset and there coverage checker said I would get variable coverage and I was getting that.

This past 3-4 days I have been getting no signal at all at home, phoned EE who again blamed CPW, I asked about a signal box out of stock, told me to go back to CPW, I went back to CPW who sent me back to EE and told me about a signal box, so this is where I am at. No signal and getting no where. I had to laugh, EE asked me had I a landline, Yes I said expecting this to go on about getting a signal box, the adviser then said "Ah well your not stuck then" I mean what an attitude.

Advice please?

It does make sense for CPW to refer you to EE as they are the ones responsible for your network signal, but if EE are pushing you towards CPW, I don't think they are interested in solving your network issue, which is quite poor customer service.

I'd be interested to see what EE's coverage checker shows for your post code.

You should keep contacting EE until they do something about it.

What i would do is email customer complaints, or whatever it's called, and escalate it up the CS chain to try and get a signal box.

Your landline shouldn't have anything to do with it, cheeky sod!
