Helen's Journey
opticom
02-08-2014
Fed up with BBBOTS constant reference to Helen's journey and her change in character on the way. The only journey she has been on is an Upgraded ticket to the
final without any nominated stops, thus not ever having to worry about it. That gave her power over the others. They all simpered around her thinking if they gave her enough adoration she would not nominate them. Incidently anyone remember who she did nominate ,bet it was always the outsiders. I hope BB never uses that free pass for the whole series again.

I don't think she's that bad, to be honest. She was a grumpy mare in the beginning, but the Big Brother house is a pressure cooker and she's mouthier than your average person. Then two of her friends in the house were shit-stirrers, i.e. Pauline and Toya, (awful people).

I heard Helen mention one night how she's been bricked in the face before, obviously over her much publicised previous job and her famous customer. It must have left her quite traumatised and I'm sure it wasn't the only attack she received back then when the stories were plastered over the news. Everything that happens in your life shapes who you are.

Then there's how and where you're brought up. Some communities banter rudely and crudely for a living. I think where Ashleigh's from they call it the 'craic'. They call each other all sorts but would give you the coats off their backs if you needed one. It's their way.

Helen's alright.

She might have been bricked in the face due to her confrontational attitude and bit off more than she could chew.

Helen is a nasty, mean person... but has a soft side. I think she has probably had a hard life and is a product of that life. I find Ashleigh to be spoilt and a brat but still nasty and mean. I imagine she has had a spoilt, little Princess life. Two very similar females with very different reasons for being who they are. Helen has had a bigger journey than Ashleigh who has clung to others for support all the way through. Helen has always had to cling to herself.

Beautiful post. I could hug you! That's more insight and human understanding in one post than there's been in 1000 posts about Helen and how she said "alwaysintheright" 6 weeks ago. *rolls eyes*

I just knew the OP would be bitter and cynical and full of nonsense about people trying to avoid nomination - as if one nom would count for more than anyone else's.

Yes yes YESSSSSSS!!! As even one of the crap BOTS Psychs observed, Helen's only 'mellowed' because she's terrified the whole House into obsequious submission with her aggressive and manipulative behaviour for weeks & weeks. Her only 'journey' has been to use her Cash-on-Bureau-first mentality to 'get', after numerous BB Warnings, she needs to at least TRY to pretend she's now Controlled and Civil. [though as soon as her faults were rightly pointed up during the Public Ratings of HMs Task, she instantly called us all 'bastards' and began ranting, and never acknowledged ANY of her own faults in such an evaluation]. Her only 'change' has been to not very successfully Bite her Tongue for a few minutes immediately before she 'challenges' others, clearly NOT changed one iota. Just more guarded--as we see from her erratic, dishonest behaviour with Ash.

The 'journey' Helen has been on, is of her own making, she chose to live her life, the way she wanted to, she has made her own choices, and will always be that person. The sooner she's on her 'journey' home with all her regrets, the better.
But

Entered the house a nasty bitch got warned toned it down so she didn't get kicked out, will return to her old self on eviction. That's not a journey that's her surviving BB

Chris gave her the idea for the journey, the numpty. Since then she and the marginal people they have on BBOTS all jumped on the bandwagon.
She's had an easy ride and is lucky not to have been chucked out over her appalling behaviour. Since the warning she has put herself in check...but without the pressure of nominations and the threat of eviction that hasnt been too hard.

got giving free pass. got drunk, had some fun, caused arguments in the house, test people out, made controversy, took it to far bb warned her, so she now just chilling out being herself since, she should be awarded with making bb fun to watch i loved the start where she was causing a shit storm. all been made to look alot worse then she is, hence why chris is called creepy chris is because bb are making him look like that with editing same way helen is made to look a Villain.

It's amazing what a final warning can do with the thought of being remembered as the one who was kicked out of BB even though they had a free pass to the final. That along with the missing out of the interviews and possible press coverage spewing the usual nonsense of the journey she has been on and how she has came out of it a better person! I'll agree with the psychologists in this unless they all of a sudden change their tune which would be big surprise but then the way this show is going!

Yes , but you'll always get the naysayers who will say she had a hard life . This is a girl who had a far better start in life than most but chose to rebel against her own family and now expects sympathy.

Now I don't think I recall ever hearing Helen say that she expects sympathy, and she doesnt act like she is expecting sympathy
