My Morrisons is in Brentford area. They are sually out of aubergines, dill, Feta cheese, and various other aspirational middle class foods I got used to living next to a Tesco before.
Their are very few offers and their chocolate is exceptionally expensive as other posters have mentioned. When the newsagents next doors has cheaper confectionery, you know a budget super market is on its way out. Can't wait for it to close down to be honest and to be replaced with a normal supermarkey with more choice and better reductions. |

I commented on their smug advert about their great pricing with 8 rashers of bacon for £2.29
Morrisons 8 rashers for £1.39 As for the reductions to 9 pence, I am sure it happens/ has happened just as I believe people win the Lotto. Not common, it is happens. However I never seen anything near 9 pence in mine. |

We use Morrison's regularly, fresh cold meat counter and butcher is very good, as are the fresh baked croissants, bagels and rolls.
Shopping around is the key to finding bargains. |

Cheapest price Morrisons do on 8 rashers is £2.18 in mine, was just in there.
Usually in the middle there are one or two fridges. One for fish products and another for various other items. Usually cheese and bacon. That's where I got the bacon for £1.39 so they were obviously pushing it. Also prices may differ from store to store, or at least region to region. Further in the store there are a couple more which always have good meat offers. |

I like Morrisons, the fresh stuff is always good quality, and not too expensive.
Their bakery is great.

My local morrisons is fantastic. The fresh produce is great and you get a good variety. I personally find Tesco to be the most expensive and rubbish on the knock down prices for reduced produce.

Former Morrisons executive charged with insider dealing
The former treasurer and head of tax at supermarket group WM Morrison has been charged with insider dealing. The UK's financial regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), said it had charged Paul Gerard Coyle with two offences of insider dealing. It said the offences related to trading in Ocado group shares between February and May 2013. The two firms announced a £200m distribution deal in May. Mr Coyle was suspended from Morrisons in January. Ocado shares surged in May, when the online food retailer said it had secured an agreement with Morrisons to deliver goods ordered online by the supermarket's customers. The FCA and its predecessor, the Financial Services Authority, have tried to clamp down on insider dealing after accusations that the offence was widespread. On Monday, the FCA said it had now secured 24 convictions in relation to insider dealing, and was also currently prosecuting eight other individuals for the same offence. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-29413797 |

Morrisons are dreadful.
Their fresh food is horrible, the prices no different from other supermarkets and the stores are drab and old-fashioned. I agree with the poster who said Morrisons have no idea what or who they are aiming at and have given up. I wouldn't miss them if they went under |

Ours is excellent value. Proper trained butchers, and fishmongers who know how to fillet fish. Bought a large cauliflower this week end for 69p - bargain. Excellent fruit and veg.

I've always found that Morrisons seem to have really good deals but always on things that you don't need like Pepsi Max or Maryland Cookies or Dairylea Dunkers, which is fair enough it makes the company a lot of money but I think it makes you feel like you're saving a lot but when you get to the till it's not that much saved at all.

My local one is in West Denton. Quite new, and pretty good all things considered. There's another at Cowgate and its definitely not as good. Seemingly, new ones are decent, old ones are a bit crap. Seems to be quite a variation in how good they are.

Mind you seeing as Morrisons seem to have no idea who they are or who they are aiming at, what improvements can they make |

For the branches in my area, the first thing they need to change is the staff. They're all so fat and just lazily waddle around. It creates a really bad atmosphere. If you need to ask a member of staff something, it takes you ages to find one, and then they almost sigh at you and waddle away, leaving you standing like an idiot for 10 minutes. Then they waddle back and say sorry can't help and waddle off again very ignorantly.
I hate going there. Oh, and many of the people on the tills work so slowly. The queues are by far the longest and slowest on a Saturday afternoon. And I'm sure I'm not imagining it, but they're darker than other supermarkets. A few more light bulbs wouldn't be bad! It's like Morrisons only get the people who were rejected from Aldi, then Lidl, then Poundland, then Sainsbury's, then Asda, and then Tesco, before being left with a choice of Morrisons or their local Council. I really can't see them still being here in 10 years. They'll either get bought by Asda, who'll only want them for their land, or they'll heavily scale-back and retreat back to the north. |

Most supermarkets reflect the area they are located in. We have two Tescos in our area. One is on the edge of a socially deprived area, the other is in a very middle class town. They are completely different in their stock and in the people who staff them.
I have been to a Waitrose where the toilets were left uncleaned with vomit on the floor, and I have been to spotless Lidls. |
