Are you looking forward to Jean and Stacey's return next week?
For me personally, I can't wait until it all kicks off next week. It will be great to get a much needed break from the constant Shirley domination which has polluted the show these last couple of months.
Poll is coming up. |

More so for Jean. Wish she'd come back full time as long as the writers don't treat her like some sort of simpleton.
Towards the end of her previous stint they really were nasty towards her character. |

i'd rather be kicked between the legs by a Horse than watch scenes of the gurn monster Stacey Slater.
I can't stand the way Lacey Turner snarls her way through every scene looking like a rabbit chewing a wasp. Atrocious actress.

I'm looking forward to Jean's return. I always loved Jean and Gillian portrays her flawlessly. I wish she hadn't left. Not so much looking forward to Stacey's return, I didn't like her much the first time round. I'm not sure why you needed to use a Stacey/Jean thread to insult another character but OK.

No.
I was sick of Stacey by the time she left and four years isn't long enough to have been rid of her. Jean...I'll be pleased to see her, I just hope her happy ending from last year isn't going to be undone. |

Yeah I'm looking forward to Stacey and Jean's return but I hope Stacey doesn't hog too much screentime.

No. I've had enough of Stacey. She ruled the show with an iron first for about 4 years before she left and her return earlier this year was horse shit. I never really minded Jean but for ****'s sake she just left and she's already coming back!

Jean's only back temporarily though and never hogged the screentime as I can recall, probably accounting for why the majority are looking forward to seeing her, even if they're not looking forward to seeing Stacey.

I liked Stacey the first time round, I just don't see the need for her now. Her silly return earlier in the year was one of the lowlights of this new much improved era we're in.
As for Jean, I liked her as Shirley's mate. Perhaps Sean Slater should be brought back as Shirley's love interest , thus making Jean Shirley's mother in law, and working towards DTCs wet dream of everyone and everything being a Carter by blood or marriage.

Its hardly realistic having all the killers on the loose Nick, Ronnie, Ben, Stacey and Lucys killer is overkill imo. And I agree her return in the early part of the year was laughable. Still maybe Stacey will inject new life into the Moons. |

No. Stacey is one of the most self-centred, whiney, self-pitying central heroine's the show has ever seen. That's even without factoring in the fact that she's a murderer who is about to somehow worm her way out of a prison sentence which in itself was rather lenient... 5 years for murder??! I thought her confession was a good finish to that rather crap stint earlier this year with her finally owning up to her actions, imo it should have been left as that.
Getting her out so soon is just a backwards step, oh of course led on by her blinkered mother. I'm intrigued to see what this 'masterplan' is of Jean's, but I can't see any eventuality where I actually feel for their plight and root for Stace to get out and back on the Square. If they were so intent on this they should have just done without actually developing the character in the first place with her turning herself in and just kept her as the selfish mare she's inevitably going to show herself to be, though I'm sure it'll be with many tears and 'ma dawta needs me' in the process. |

Yes I am because I liked Jean the first time round and I think her and Kat are great to watch and with Stacey involved as well imo it will be a great week with joy and drama in equal measures. And I am glad Kat and Alfie are back on screen as I have really missed them! I do love the Carters but Kat and Alfie have always been my faves and imo it's great to have them back! |

I liked Stacey but she was very much of a different era of the show, yet at the same time not enough time has passed and she doesn't quite fit into the jigsaw for me at the moment. Im not sure how she will fit in to a show that has moved on a lot since her exit. Ronnie, Roxy and Max are bad memories of her past. If it were 10 years down the line and none of the above were still around, it would be interesting to see how 'chapter 2' of Stacey's life in Walford played out.
I enjoyed her return earlier this year as it wrapped up her current story. All the old wounds are about to be reopened and I don't think it's neccessary. |

Yes I'm pleased as she will defo help to dilute some of the Carter overkill that has started to creep into recent episodes.
I agree making Stacey's Archie's killer has damaged her character. Like Ronnie with the baby swap they will probably try to pretend it never happened in the hope viewers will just forget. Stacey was a gem of a character and she still could be. Lacey is exceptionally talented and EastEnders are lucky to have her. I don't think Lacey will leave for a very long time so Stacey is here for the foreseeable. I hope what we see from her this time around is how she copes being a single mother. I don't want romances and I certainly don't want her back with Max. Stacey doesn't need a man to function but if they were wanting to pair her up then bringing back Ryan would be my wish. If she ends up with Dean I will despair. Stacey Wicks.... no thanks. As for Jean, adore her. Only wish Gillian was also back for good but I'm hopeful it will happen. |

Poll is coming up. Shirley domination? Give it a rest. Jean? Yes Stacey? No, not at all. |
