Couple who I don't know held my dog, gave him water and texted me as to where he was yesterday. (Left the gate open.)
Want to thank them, so wine?
Prosecco bit girly or a nice red? I had a good red from a neighbour, very smooth, had a Kangaroo I think on the label .
Could get one of each but OTT. Just one smooth red would be good. Waitrose please.

People are always giving my husband bottles of wine, he doesn't like it and gives it away.
not to me though

If you pop into your local off-licence just tell them how much you want to spend and they should be able to help you out.

My Waitrose always has a resident wine buff lurking around that section, eager to give advice.

I think you need advice on more than what wine to buy! What on earth were you doing leaving your dog to run about, and how did this couple text you if you didn't know them?

If you were a dwarf you'd be Grumpy.
There isn't a dwarf called Pompous Twit is there?

If you don't know their wine tastes it doesn't matter.
The gesture is sufficient.
I'd offer Prosecco.
They can either drink it or keep it for a suitable occasion with others who like it.

Cava would be a decent choice in my opinion. The gesture is more important though, anything half decent would do.

A bottle of prosecco for me, rather than red. Or a box of chocs. Or flowers. I am sure they wont be expecting anything. Very kind of you.
