Apple TV

I'm looking to buy UK Apple tv device and was wondering whether the HBO GO app comes with or do you need to download and install?

Also can you air play NBC sports from IPad to apple tv?

One other option I'm thinking about is to DLNA as i'm looking to buy a new tv, so are there any restrictions on HBO GO/NBC Sports/ Netflix using this method?

Thanks
Jameseh.

If you're using Unblock-us or whatever then HBO Go will be on the home screen, if you're not then only the UK apps will show.

It doesn't work with DLNA but AirPlay is what its designed for.

Thanks mate...

I use unotelly and it works on the Ipad without any issues... so is it a matter of changing the DNS settings and the HBO app appears on Apple TV or do you need to sign in with your US Itunes account?

You'll be banging your head in frustration at first if like me you use a smart dns and forget to update it then start cussing Appletv when all along it was your own fault lol.
I've got it all sorted now and my Appletv is running happily alongside my ROKU i have ROKU for uktv iplayer etc and Appletv for usa tv hulu+ etc.

One of the prizes in the Gadget Show competition this week was 'The new Apple TV, as soon as possible after launch'.

Do they know something that nobody else does?

It is meant to be coming out sometime in 2015... I suspect it might be April since they have already released new Iphones/Ipads in Sept/Oct of this year respectively, so no new hardware on that front because it is a yearly cycle.
