Why did he say this when Helen was reading out her comments from viewers in the DR? Did he mean she's not liked, he has associated himself with her since the start, and he's just realized his mistake?

I like Ash! OK so he's not the most exciting or dynamic housemate but I think he is basically a nice lad. Maybe it's because i'm a Manc too and his way of speaking, his humour, are very familiar to me.

I fully appreciate not everyone will get where i'm coming from but i've seen a lot of gentle p!ss taking from him, and he doesn't take things too seriously. That's my take and i'm sticking to it!
