Exactly WHY do BB a particular winner ?

It seem to happen year after year - especially near the end.

Last night ( and for a few nights ) was especially blatent with regards to Winston and I fail to understand what difference it should make to them.

Similarly they then have a campaign to put us off others.

You need to add a word to your title, presently it's not making much sense

No I know - I meant to add the word WANT and I don't know how to change it now !

Betting odds.......you pick your favourite, and it starts showing......... it is nobbled and out of the race.......and so on........until the rank outsider blats up out of nowhere, .........and scoops the lot..........If you have picked him/her....... good luck......

I think they want Christopher to win.

I wouldn't say that BB often have a particular winner in mind , although since moving to C5 I think that they would favour a Towie/GS type winner to pull in more of that audience.

I think that apparent favouritism and victimisation is mostly about manipulating the voters into voting harder because of a sense of outrage at the unfair treatment of their faves.

Not worth worrying over IMO.

If there is manipulation and you can see past it, perhaps others can.

So there is no reason to suppose that if the manipulation exists it will work.

So if someone you don't want to win wins, perhaps it's not manipulation, or it is but a majority of folk voting don't care.

You can only control your own response and votes. Anything else would surely be manipulation

No it is not a question of worrying I just fail to see why BB themselves should want a particular person to win - or not. And you are right you can only control your own thoughts and responses

You are probably right also in that if your ( or any other ) is your favourite people would not see any manipulation but I was referring to any particularly housmate.

I mentioned Winston only because there seems to be blatent bias in the last few shows. Winston is not my favourite but neither do I have any particular issues with him.

I just wondered what others thought - even though I managed to miss an important word out of my post ( like WANT ! ) - but I don't know how to edit it !

I also fail to see why they should do that, which makes me think they don't. Or at least, if they do, and it's the sort of person they've been accused of trying to make win, it hasn't really worked most of the time (I am thinking about BB on both channels here, but you could apply it to either C4 or C5). So I would then be unsure why they bother.
Worry might have been too emotive a word, but I cannot think of a better one. Care, perhaps?

Yes I can certainly go with all that because although we as viewers get attached to particular people why should BB - as we said ? But it seem that, every year, they home on someone near the end making them look like the best thing since sliced bread.

But there we go at the end of the day it doesn't really matter.

Thanks for your replies - I appreciate it
