I agree, it's a quality production that would have done very well on a terrestrial channel IMO. Really looking forward to Season 4 and the upcoming Christmas special.

As for Samuel, I have asked you three times over the last few days if you've actually watched programmes that you have claimed to be rubbish on here, and am still awaiting replies. Do I take it you haven't in fact watched said programmes?

Kelly Brooks ex's appear to be on every reality show going, is one going to be on I'm a Celeb as well.

I keep seeing black captions saying I need to retune my Frreview on 3rd September, what's it about this time, more than the odd extra channel I would have thought.

I think the obvious answer to that is YES !!!

Although it applies to pretty much all channels as well.

TV has been going for a long time now, all good Idea's have long since been used up, downhill from here with repeats and dross.

Such an odd choice.

From Freeview

"The Freeview TV guide is being updated on Wednesday, 3 September 2014 to create extra capacity for new services. As a result, Children’s and News channels will move to new channel numbers.

• The Children’s genre will move from channel numbers in the 70s to start at 120
• The News genre will move from channel numbers in the 80s to start at 130

To update their guide viewers simply need to retune their Freeview TVs and digital recorders or boxes where equipment does not pick up the changes automatically. On-screen messages will prompt viewers to retune late afternoon 3 September 2014 onwards.

Viewers who don’t retune will not lose channels – services will remain accessible at their old numbers. However, Digital UK and Freeview recommend viewers retune from time-to-time to ensure they have access to all available services in their area."

I don't mind these revivals if they are at least different to the original versions and can offer something new. For instance Through The Keyhole is quite a bit different now to the old show. Whereas ones like Catchphrase or Surprise Surprise really are the same as the original shows except with less popular presenters and those are a bit lazy.

I think Stars In Their Eyes will be quite different with Harry Hill presenting than it was before so I think that one is OK. There would be less eye rolling had there been less revivals in the last couple of years.

Also, Broadcast reports that ITV have ordered a 4 x 60 minute hypnotism gameshow called You're Back In The Room which will be presented by Phillip Schofield as it apparently "very funny" according to Elaine Bedell. Speaking of Bedell, she's done an interview with Broadcast where she talks about ITV entertainment and comedy in general ahead of the Edinburgh Festival.

Sounds like the new sitcom The Delivery Man will be going in the Thursday 8.30pm slot early next year alongside Birds of A Feather.

Wow! Massive number. No doubt last week was hurt slightly by the ITV documentary

Yep, it was their tentpole Saturday night series for years, a lot of people, including me have a lot of nostalgia for it so I hope they don't mess with it too much (And if you're listening ITV-NO ZELEBRITY SPECIALS! They helped kill it off last time)

My bedroon TV is going to have problems, it simply refuses to accept a retune, it reverts back to the factory setting from when it was made everytime its switched off.

Quiz/Game/Reality/Judge Rinder Ratings

The Great British Bake Off 7.44 m. (35.2%)
Pointless (R) 3.26m. (27.8%)
Celebrity Big Brother 1.96m (9.7%)
Tipping Point 1.75m (22.4%)
Gift Wrapped 1.38m (12.4%)
Two Tribes 1.27m (8.6%)
Eggheads 1.11m (6.9%)
Judge Rinder 1.04m (16.8%)
Perfection (R) 0.81m (13.4%)
Come Dine With Me (R) 0.71m (6.4%)
The Chase (R) 0.63m (10.0%)
Celebrity BBBOTS 0.58m (6.8%)
Deal or No Deal 0.43m (5.5%)

Usually, these ratings are not tapechecked. For CBB, very strong and a climb of 210k from the previous night, DS usually tapechecks so it could hit 2m.

Pointless repeat scored that highly! Wow, that show is doing very, very well.

Judge Rinder continues to do very, very well for the slot.

Very nice ratings for Celebrity Big Brother and Bake Off there. Good to see Judge Rinder over a million again, it's definitely doing enough for a recommission. On the other hand, Gift Wrapped is not and is doing very poorly at 5pm.
