No, I mean because you only have a rating per series, eg. one for CBB, one for BB (even though numerous CBB January ones would be in the overall list), so will the CBB launch last week slot into the Top 10 (as it would be around 2.6m)? Or not at all because the list only shows one rating for each show and they can't have two CBB's in the list?

I think it will fall and fall, I LOVED the first series, it was far fetched and a bit OTT, but good cast and pace and direction and a decent story arc. Season 2 I barely got through 2 epsiodes and completely gave up.
It is just ridiculous, it will be interesting to see how the ratings fare out for Channnel 5.

That's likely the one of the biggest reasons for this season not performing by CSI's usual standards. They normally start it in February, not several months later. Plus, diehard fans like myself were of course more excited than usual due to the CSI: Cyber introductory episode which is yet to premiere in the UK. The reason for the delay was likely due to them losing CSI: NY, thus leaving them with only one CSI for the whole year for the very first time.

Maybe they'll be brave and go down the Monday night route as they did with Flashforward in 2009. Although there can be big PL games on Sky on that night so again not ideal. I don't think any night is going to be absolutely perfect though.

I didn't enjoy last night's episode. Easy to see why viewing figures have fallen across all key markets. Best thing about the show is the stunning Rachelle Lefevre. But I'll probably give it up soon.

Mondays or Thursdays for Gotham I would think. Sundays is unlikely given how competitive it is with Downton, Homeland and other things.

Next year will be interesting as both The Mentalist and CSI will likely have 13-17 episodes, I wonder if it'll mean 5 will likely bring back CSI from February since The Mentalist is likely a midseason replacement for anything that fails on CBS.

well Channel 5 only had CSI when it first started, and they aired it Jan-Feb time as I recall, which worked for all concerned, but yeah its been a while since they only had one CSI series.

TBH I never understood why C5 delayed CSI and not the Mentalist, back then it was far more likely that The Mentalist was in its final series, and CSI would continue, ok so for some reason The Mentalist has been renewed but there was no way C5 knew that going in.


not heard anything about a limited run for CSI, TBH C5 may have to run CSI first, certainly if The Mentalist is a mid season, and same for if it picks up CSI: Cyber, anther mid season with likely a shorter run. Certainly if I was C5, I would air CSI first, then CSI: Cyber mirror what CBS is doing, the likely last series of The Mentalist can also wait till later in the year.

CSI Cyber is replacing CSI at midseason so I assume that mean CSI won't be getting 22 episodes this year, CSI: NY for its last few season only got 17-18 episodes so it's fair to assume, CSI will run for that many episode before CSI Cyber which will probably have 13 episodes. The Mentalist I agree they could keep back into Summer.

Considering the overnight was its lowest rating ever that's not half bad for New Tricks. So that's a timeshift of 1.44 million.

Judge Rinder is a godsend to ITV daytime.

1.44m increase from the overnights (+25%) for New Tricks. Not bad for an old-skewing show.

What would be interesting is to see how many Scots watched New Tricks last week, and how many watched the debate last night in the 21:00 hour, to see what boost there was in the overnights for BBC One. Doubtless there was some kind of boost.

Not far to go though before it drops below 7m. It is good rating nonetheless but from the NT thread it doesn't look like the new characters are working as well as hoped.

Certainly I think drama on ITV can survive against NT.

I think Celeb Squares should be able to hold up with at least 3m-3.5m against Bake-Off.

LLF spinoff should be at least above the usual Tuesday flop zone rubbish, but still lower than it would be on another day being on a Tuesday.

Good timeshift for New Tricks there but it still means it's down on previous years (18% lower than last year). Judge Rinder looks very strong there.

So it is unfortunately the lowest ever start for New Tricks. Perhaps to be expected for a show in series 11 but that seems like quite a drop from the consistent past few years (the 2010 series aired on Fridays hence the lower audience).

I imagine if there is 17-18 episodes with breaks for holidays and specials, I imagine it'll run until February or March with CSI Cyber taking over.


Considering it's in its eleventh series with essentially a new cast, the ratings are still solid.

I think Celeb Squares will do alright. That 100 Year Old Drivers thing did OK against Bake Off and if Celeb Squares can do the same against it they'll probably be satisfied. It could probably get 4.5m without Bake Off.

I can't see the LLF spinoff doing much there to be honest. It's not like they're proper episodes which might stand a chance in that slot. I suspect it'll do better than the dreadful sounding 9pm offering that week though: Hot Tub Britain.

Also looks like Suspicions of Mr Whicher is back on Sunday 7th September. I suspect we might see an hour long Corrie that night too as there's football on the Monday.

Seven BBC1 programmes in ITV's Top Ten. The 5.45 pm BBC News was not shown in Scotland, they had a full 30 minute version at 6 pm and a full reporting Scotland at 6.30 pm because it wasn't a bank holiday in Scotland.

Great rating that for The X Factor: The Boss Is Back, worth noting.
