Cilla is one of the best programs on ITV at the moment.

Well technically it's the only thing on ITV at the moment when you think about it.

Itv have been heavily trailing tonight's Plebs premiere over the last couple of weeks. But mark my words, this will be well down from its 900k premiere last year. Its audience halved during the first series, it isnt quite the hit Itv pretend it to be. Take into consideration the Itv2 ratings crisis at the moment, Plebs is likely to be around the 500k mark rather than 1m.

Do you think the low timeshift was down to Sunday alone? I still expected it to add 1m.

What did Plebs get in the overnights for its last episode of Series 1?

Mark my words, New Tricks will once again perform poorly on Bbc 1 tonight, thrashed by ITV's latest drama hit Cilla.

Well ofcourse it will be, i don't think anyone even thinks it will hit 0.5 let alone 1.0. Its not even going out at the same time of year (March 2013) tbf, i doubt anyone hear is even concerned what it will rate tonight

"Strictly Come Dancing" will definately win its ratings war that the BBC and itv have now pushed it into. "The X Factor" has the disadvantage of its late start and viewers will forget the Friday evening show on itv. I think this is "Strictly Come Dancing" year again, given the energy in the launch show and that "The X Factor" shows signs of loosing is iron fist on the ratings all the time.

I think Neil has a point, the results shows always timeshifted less than the main show, I just assumed down people caring less about the results than the dancing, but it could also have something to do with being on Sunday like Neil said.

It's a shame it ended up down in the officials but before the overnights came in, I think a lot expected it to be down a lot more than just 0.37m with the clash.

So down on last year.

If you wanna watch a top quality scripted show at 10pm on a digital channel, I'd recommend Glue on E4. E4 once again showing they are the #2 digital channel for scripted shows [behind BBC3 ofcourse].

Scott & Bailey
Wed 10 September, 21:03 - 22:01

Full-slot overnight rating: 4.47m (21.6%) inc +1
Tape-checked overnight rating: 3.98m (19.3%) / 4.45m (21.6%)
* +1: 0.47m
Consolidated rating: 5.61m (22.7%) / 6.36m (25.7%)
* +1: 0.75m

Sources: DS, Broadcast mag, D.M.N.

Very large crude timeshift for the ITV+1 showing (+61.3%) in comparison with the ITV showing (+41.0%), but this could be due to more people than usual using the +1 to record clashing shows (Grand Designs, Our Zoo). Possibly a tape-checking adjustment changed things but I'd need to look at Friday's Broadcast to check that.

Cilla was good tonight, best drama on TV at the moment. In fact that top two dramas this week are on ITV.

Should get at least 1.6m then.

Surprised by the success of "Cilla" I remember her as a camp bit naff TV host that couldn't hold a tune, however the ITV drama sounds like its a completely different portrait of her and her success.

I still buy a listings mag, not the Radio Time though if it really is true that it is going to cost more than £2 a week. Plus I'm not a fan of the way they pretty much ignore the soaps in an over the top way.

Why, when it only added +0.95m (in pure timeshift) last year, on a Saturday, when timeshift is higher as fewer people are at home? Strictly's viewers are relatively old, but this is still a factor, enough to explain the -200k lower timeshift IMO.

I buy the RT occasionally it's £1.80 at the moment, it tends to go up on/after Xmas. I tend to get a cheap one, usually What's On TV.

I've never watched Plebs before either but I thought it has been advertised so much I better check it out. I also will be checking out Tricked tomorrow as well, and will be watching The Job Lot.
