Beyond awful night for C5 last night. Nothing topped 800,000 in primetime. New series Too Tough to Teach could only muster 614k/2.7%.

And E4's Glue dropped again to score a pitiful 147k (1.0%).

Wonder how low Glue will go now The 100 has finished.

That's alot better for the three big soaps. Epecially EE and ED. Plus FairPlay that is a really good figure for Cilla I wasn't expecting it to do so well. So credit were credits due.

It really doesn't deserve to be anywhere near that low. Maybe it would have been better to wait until The 100 had finished and put it at 9pm.

So Neighbours topped the ratings on Channel 5?

Correct.

Really impressed with how well it is doing at lunchtime at the moment. It'd be nice to see it creep above a million again at teatime but it's less consistent in that 5.30 slot.

Excellent figure for EE- the way Shirley handled the gun at the end made it look as if she'd been trained by the SAS

Warm Weather low rating excuse not going to apply next weekend since weather due to be much colder with rain and wind.”

Where would The Great Fire go? Are we looking at Tuesday or Thursday?

Neighbours consolidated to over 1m on the 19th September, so hopefully when the autumn really kicks in it will happen more regularly.

Isn't Grantchester the Monday drama for ITV?

No it was shown in Scotland at 2100 but Northern Ireland have been placing local programming every Monday at 2100 moving NT to 2235.

Good to see the soap ratings finally rising, I imagine we'll now be getting "they should be above 8m" from certain people.

Soap Ratings (2013 in brackets)
Emmerdale - 6.61m/34.6% +1: 150k (7.14m/36.3% +1: 115k)
Coronation Street - 7.54m/36.2% +1: 102k (8.60m/39.2% +1: 145k)
EastEnders - 7.06m/31.4% BBC3: 337k (7.02m/30.4% BBC3: 408k)
Coronation Street - 7.44m/32.1% +1: 160k (8.86m/37.1% +1: 242k)”

So EastEnders is actually up YOY (only slightly though). Hopefully it will climb again tonight. Recently Tuesday tends to be its highest rating day of the week.

Happy to see EE over 7m. With the Kennedy-style cliffhanger it should rise tonight

I actually had my hand over my mouth and eyes wide at the cliffhanger I can't bear it with guns sometimes...

In fact I think t'was H of De Vil who posted a list of upcoming drama series. Anyone got that?

ITV upcoming dramas for Q1 and Q2

Home Fires (6 parts)
Foyle's War (3 parts)
Code of a Killer (2 parts)
Thunderbirds (26 parts)
Authur & George (3 parts)

There you are James J

The only dramas we have left this year is The Great Fire, Grantchester and Lewis.

IAC takes up a lot of the slots drama would feature.

They undoubtedly have to look for something new. Its hard to imagine it'll get another series after the one that's already been ordered. The real question might be where are they going to schedule that final run with less sport to make way for presumably it could be shunted to a full summer run.

The US version of the show is pretty funny. I can't same I'm overawed by the prospect of Jimmy Carr being involved in this though but we'll see...

Its a shame to see it this low. It really is a very good piece of drama and easily the best original E4 have commissioned in a long time. Back to the drawing board (again) for E4 though I guess.

H, I salute you

I think they should have saved The Great Fire for a Monday slot personally. I think it may burn out (pun intended) on Thursdays.

That would however be preferable to Granchester collapsing on Thursday since that's the one with returnable potential. I think they've probably made the right decision looking at the bigger picture. The big event drama on Thursday with the returnable drama given an easier time of things on Monday,
