Good Morning Britain weighed in with a mighty 573,000 yesterday.
On the plus side, it no longer takes the bottom place in the Audience Appreciation charts. That dubious honour now belongs to BBC1's Your Home In Their Hands. |

So the step up in marketing for GMB has had no impact. Still rating worse than Daybreak on a bad day which in turn rated worse than GMTV on a bad day, etc.
Is the AI score for Marvellous out yet or is it still too early? ![]()

Maybe they don't want to axe Good Morning Britain in case it's replacement does even worse?
![]() I say similar, I suspect it would be a bit higher, as there would have been no drop off that happened when Daybreak launched. Whatever ITV does in that slot now, unless its drops the same basic format that underpins GMTV, Daybreak and GMB, its not going to see a change in fortunes. I am not sure what ITV should do, other than hope this latest version stabilses, but that is all it is ever going to do. |

Emmerdale's share is very good - I'm not so sure about Coronation Street's. It's worth noting that EastEnders on Tuesday beat Coronation Street's Wednesday share (excluding +1) and was only 0.03m behind.
They're getting closer... |

GMB is going up but still needs to be over 600k to match the show it replaced. Still it is up on the last few months. Your Home In Their Hands is an abomination. Seriously Charlotte Moore why did you say yes to it?
An excellent figure for Marvellous and a well deserved one.

Coronation Street was Wednesday evening's top-rated soap (October 1) as Kylie Platt revisited her past, overnight figures show.
6.98m (34.2%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 162k (0.7%) on +1 as Kylie headed back to her old neighbourhood in order to track down Max's father Callum. Emmerdale attracted 6.2m (34.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 150k (0.7%) on +1 as Edna and Lawrence came face-to-face. Neighbours continued to perform strongly as 777k (12.5%) tuned in at 1.45pm and 836k (6.3%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 to see Imogen struggle due to her secret feelings for Daniel. Hollyoaks interested 823k (4.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Ste made a scene while giving evidence at John Paul's rape trial, while E4's first look followed with 743k (4.1%) at 7pm and 133k (0.6%) on +1. Home and Away managed 229k (3.6%) at 1.15pm and 662k (4.2%) at 6pm, while 5*'s first look secured 314k (1.8%) at 6.30pm. Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.35m (22.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One. Corrie's rating and share is poor. Below 7m. Emmerdale is doing well again, that a good share. Doctors doing well and Neighbours, that's a very strong share for it. |

Realistically there's still a substantial gap. EE is currently in big storyline mode whereas Corrie's drama is consisting of "comedic" rooftop scenes and Sally Webster having a cold. Corrie will be gearing up for a big month though with Kylie's ongoing storyline and Rob and Tracy's wedding. ITV will be hoping for ratings over 8m. I expect ratings for both Corrie and EE to rise. I can't see EE overtaking Corrie regularly if at all in the near future.

Thanks, really impressed with this one. Shame it's not getting the ratings it deserves.
IIRC though US imports always tend to pull in well above average AIs. I think the results tend to be more reliable with homegrown programmes. |

Still, scores above 90 are normally reserved for Five's US drama imports, and the BBC's Attenborough-fronted natural history diocumentaries. |

An 85 for UTD is baffling. Admittedly one of the better episodes in what's been a very poor run but still nowhere near an 85 in terms of quality.

Does anyone have the comparable ratings for CS and ED last year?
Corrie down heavily, share down too. Emmerdale down as well but not as bad. |
