Corrie down heavily, share down too. Emmerdale down as well but not as bad.”

Thanks. You forget how well Corrie was doing just a year ago. The decline has been steep and deserved. Hopefully all soaps will be up before long though. We must recognise the drop in viewers generally as a factor though. EE strictly speaking should be up year on year consistently judging on quality. Recent ratings say that it's getting there.

So Corrie and Emmerdale both down by about 1m (inc+1). Neighbours at 1.45pm and the E4 showing of Hollyoaks are the only real positives.

The AI for Our Zoo might be interesting, if you have it, please, Bushmills.

Will it match the praise from those who did watch or the apparent apathy of the viewing figures?

Good rating for Our Zoo, ensuring a comprehensive victory of Scott and Bailey.

Celebrity Juice is immense tonight. Hilarious. There's life in the old dog yet.

When they get some good guests, no comedy on TV can match it.

So Celeb Squares has dropped every week to its lowest rating of 2.4m. Could it go below 2m next week?
yorkie100

The thing with CS is that its been about 1m down all year (since January anyway) and I still have not be able to fathom it. It should increase a bit now but it should be remembered that last Nov/Dec it was hitting over 8m regularly and over 9m quite often with the Roy/Hayley stuff. Its going to have to get somthing going or it could be a lot more than 1m down.

Why dont they just drop the celebrity obsession and make some gameshows with ordinary people again?

To be fair Celebrity Squares is one show where celebrities are required. As for Mr. and Mrs, The Chase, Family Fortunes - they're another matter altogether!

Maybe there's an issue when you're down to about 600k viewers, the only ones left are fairly die-hard fans (like myself) who are going to score it appreciatively.

Having said that, Good Morning Britain manages to plumb depths in ratings and AIs. In fairness that's partly a breakfast issue. Rare for something to draw you in and wow you at seven in the morning.

EDIT: noticed that Bushmills reports high AIs for Channel 5's drama imports generally. I'd be interested to see Wentworth 's: got to be over 90 too.

Might not be a bad idea to move it to BBC1 then...

I was in the supermarket cafe this morning and could not help overhear a group of Samuel's fabled bingo pensioners on the next table chatting about that awful episode of Corrie with half the cast on the roof.

Just one thought it was good amusing drama, the general view of the rest was that it was 'plain stupid' and 'idiotic'. One noted 'how could a drainpipe even hold her up!' They all seemed to think it was a terrible script.

So if even the target audience are seeing it for what we all were on here they need to look sharp.

Mind you they all appeared forgiving enough to plan to watch again. For now.

Though the award for worst storyline of the year seems decided for 2014.

No score for this week's episode yet (too early).

The other four eps have scored 89, 88, 89 and 90.

Or just invite contestants called Bert = Albert Squares.

Which reminds me, when I took my mum to the Coronation Street tour the other day you are left free to wander down the street afterwards. Where I asked a security guard the best place to go for a taxi and he recommended us leaving Coronation Street by a side exit and walking straight to Albert Square.

He did not seem to understand why I laughed.

Thank you. Those are pretty good and should help sell it a second series I think.
