Being later in the year should benefit it. I nearly wet myself when I saw the trailer as it felt "missing" since it was delayed for the World Cup. But then S8 was brought forward because of the Olympics, and as you can see above it's aired at various different times of the year.
Hope it does really well.
Re; X Factor, am 20 minutes in and the talent this year is really excellent in my opinion. It is clear that all the acts have had a lot of practice to get good performances at these judges houses. Only The Young are a great little group, even those two mini-Bieber twins and Blonde Electra were decent so far. Now all the joke acts are gone all the vocals etc are impressive IMO. And this is just the groups, who are traditionally poorer
With great talent and likeable contestants, plus free voting and refreshed live shows, I think X Factor will do much better this year, it certainly stands to. Definitely Team X Factor this year after a 4 year break!
