That's better for Strictly and not to bad for DW.

#StrictlyComeDancing was yesterday's most watched with 9.06m/43.3%, up 880k on last week.

#TheXFactor drew 7.32m/32.1%, down 530k.

Peak audience of 10m for last night's #StrictlyComeDancing, averaging 8.8m. The highest rating show of the night @BBCOne #SCD

I don't think Sam's rating is tape checked. (Yep Sam's rating is for the full slot)

Rubbish rating for XF. And it includes +1 as well.

I was going to say were has Sam got his figure from, but that explains it. Not great for the Xfactor there.

Tape-checked timings from Attentional:

SCD - 18:23-20:27 => 18:25-20:25 (spot on, guestofseth! )
* scheduled slot: 18:20-20:30

XF - 20:02-21:16 => 20:00-21:15
* scheduled slot: 20:00-21:20

Both required tape-checking adjustments - there will be two sets of figures around for both.

Vastly better for Strictly - it seems to have recovered nicely from the mess last week.

X Factor struggling, but will probably have a Sunday spike in ratings tonight. Strictly back closer to where it should be, but it would be good if it could climb a bit more next week.

Doctor Who: 4.82m (21.5%)
Casualty: 4.74m (23.8%)

I can't get over how bad that rating for X Factor is.

Isn't Strictly on tonight as well for the results?

#DoctorWho averaged 4.82m/21.5%, 70k down on last week. #Casualty pulled in 4.74m/23.8%, up 760k.

Good for Casualty, I noticed it was trending on twitter last night (not that that means anything)

That Casualty rating looks pretty high to me.

Good to see Casualty climbing again! It's been stuck around 4m for quite a while.

Good for Strictly. I'm pleasantly surprised by that rating. (Although I don't think it'll help my position in the ratings prediction game,)

Nor can I. It's awful. Celebrity Chase took a big week to week drop too. Wonder what happened there.

Judges houses normally does better than bootcamp...not this time! The live shows have a lot of work to do.

Very good for Strictly.

Awful for The X Factor. Did it even manage 7m without +1?

Strong for Strictly but awful for The X Factor. I wonder if it's the same as Friday where the main channel picked up a reasonable figure, relatively speaking, but +1 dragged it down?

Well Mr. Cowell... how are you going to deal with this one?

"Celebrity Chase" didn't have the same start time as "Strictly Come Dancing" this week so the BBC one show was off and running by 7pm when "Celebrity Chase" began

What was the Celebrity Chase figure?

Terrible rating for XF, under 7million viewers on a Saturday night! Blimey.. There really is a crisis! Fantastic for strictly.

I expected Celebrity Chase to drop as it was starting midway through Strictly rather than head-to-head with it. IIRC the same happened last year.

Same night last year

18:20-20:25 - Strictly Come Dancing: 9.25m (42.1%)

20:00-21:50 - The X Factor: 8.18m (34.8%) / 8.48m (36.1%)

================================================================

Strictly last night with 9.06m (43.3%) with is DOWN -0.19m but UP +1.2 share points.

X Factor last night with 7.32m (32.1%) [inc +1] is DOWN -1.16m and DOWN -4.0 share points.

EDIT: Now corrected 2013 X Factor figures above. Apologies.

What time did Jake Wood dance last night? Would that have affected the competition?

Those X Factor ratings from last year are wrong. It got 8.45 inc +1 I believe.
