Always willing to help as I am a bit of a TV Cream type. Obviously no one now would want to watch thirty year old episodes of A Country Practice, it was pretty crap first time round, but the way forward could be reviving game shows. What better than Supermarket Sweep, but staying true to the original rather than an ironic update. Also Catchphrase, which didn't do too well last series in peak time, and maybe repeats of shows like Off Their Rockers.

Monday's overnights are in! #CoronationStreet topped the day with 7.47m/35.0% at 8.30pm and 7.11m/36.8% at 7.30pm.

#LongLostFamily won the 9pm slot with 4.69m/21.7%. On BBC1, a #DeathInParadise repeat drew 2.54m/11.7%.

12.7% share represents a hit - the most depressive thing is you're probably right with that. The 21st Question hasn't exactly collapsed to be fair it. Bit on the Side looks low but lacked the usual Big Brother Monday night lead in. Big Brother itself did well in an earlier slot. Win It Cook It is a disgrace.

I was thinking something like that.

Too early to tell but a decent start and the reaction was mostly positive which bodes well. It's something different to the usual ITV daytime stuff so in that respect I'm all for it.

So would we possibly see the return of daytime favourites - Chain Letters, Busmans Holiday (although I may be getting confused with that one) and Wheel of Fortune along with Gambit and maybe even Sale of the Century ?

I can imagine that possibly being the plan, and the scheduler looking at this thread now, and thinking "Shit! Rumbled!"

Hello, Mr Bergg, if you're reading this.

Or the scheduler thinking "That's a bloody good idea; right I'm done, time for the pub'

On the subject of Berkely Square: I didn't imagine it!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berkele...28TV_series%29

I don't think it was a hit though. I could of course, be wrong.

And, Invasion Earth was May 1998, not April as I previously stated.

I think GBBO will stand up better to Corrie than EE does to Emmerdale, so probably the better option for BBC if ITV schedule it that way, plus GBBO is a very strong timeshifter so will make up for in loss there. Also giving GBBO four weeks to build will make it even harder for ITV to do much damage to it.

Thanks for the ratings. I do think DIP repeats, like the originals, would do much better in the winter, when people want to see something sunny - rather than now when they can see the real thing by going outdoors!

I think ITV will see it that Coronation Street will hold up better than whatever else they put there. From next week, the Champions League will start taking up the 7.30pm slot on Tuesday so Emmerdale can't go there (well, it can every other week...).

21st Question hasn't slid as expected, wonder if it's given another series ITV will bring it forward to the 4-5pm slot?

LongLostFamily is the only time ITV are good at 9pm lately.

70 Stone Man: The Man Who Can't Be Saved did very well for Channel 5, beating Big Brother, albeit Big Brother had a more difficult slot.

Pointless doing well, but only increases when The Chase has a break. Tipping Point remaining strong and probably giving The 21st Question support which Ejector Seat didn't give Paul O' Grady earlier this year.

Judge Rinder looks to have done well certainly better than what they've had in that slot previously. I think it will continue to rate well and be a permanent figure in the schedule.

Hmm, losing to a Perfection repeat - I think it only looks passable because of how badly Speakmans did in that slot previously. I'd be surprised if the Judge doesn't preside over a sizeable drop-off in tomorrow's figures, as some of the curious do not return.

Perhaps, Supermarket Sweep could be trialled at 12:30pm, leading into an earlier ITV News at 1:00pm. Supermarket Sweep would surely bring the same food related offering the network may be looking for in the lunchtime slot. Catchphrase didn't do so well, but I'm not sure id force it into daytime just yet. Off Their Rockers has been renewed, so I'm expecting the pair of them to collaborate in prime time later this year or early next year again.

It's not a bad format, but Gethin Jones is such an awful host.

But they both I imagine skew very differently. Its a big improvement on the recent programmes in that slot.

Sky1 have scrapped their planned evening schedule to show Jumanji (8PM) and Awakenings (10PM) in tribute to Robin Williams.

Long Lost Family the only stronghold for ITV presently which is about to change next week. New Tricks will probably knock off about 500k-1m next week.

Corrie doing better than I thought it would.

It probably was neck and neck during the actual head to head. The guy from Bother's Br who provides the figures added this info:

Judge Rinder’s rating is 33% above the slot average for the last 13 weeks, and the 25th highest rating in that slot (14:00 on a Monday) over the past 52 weeks.
