What happened to common sense?
You don't have a letter box on your front door, but instead have an external post box bolted onto your side wall, which probably any idiot could gain access to your correspondences if they wished. That's hardly common sense on your part.

Enforced jollity at my shit call centre job - usually instigated by those perpetually cheery arseholes in the staff engagement team. I got over Halloween at around aged 7 and even then I was never that keen, so no, I do not want to dress up for the day or decorate my workstation in fake cobwebs. Just eff off and let me get on with my work.

I used to help my son deliver our free newspapers some years back.

If I saw a vertical drain pipe on the floor, I wouldn't assume it was for newspapers etc. I'd think it was water-logged and that you'd complain about me if I put papers in it. I certainly wouldn't risk it, and would use the Post box.

People that discard food on the ground. My dogs will find it and they will eat it and it will be very bad for them. I had to wrench a whole chocolate cake from one of them earlier tonight. It had been dropped just a few metres from a bin, so why dump it on the pavement, you morons? Bet these are the same eejits that smash bottles on pavements. Why do they do this? Just why?

Bus queues can be tricky though as a lot of times there isn't a defined queue.....just people standing around so it really is every man for himself once the bus arrives

I've just come back from 2 days holiday to discover that the new Senior Administrator who knows F all about the job has given the students the wrong coursework submission form and now I have to sort through 200 pieces of coursework that have no names on just student numbers so a job that would have taken me an hour will now take 3 hours because I can't just work through the alphabet like I would do if they had names on and students get their numbers wrong. Thanks a bunch you stupid woman!! Before actually doing something think why I would have left the other forms out ( or as you called them the incorrect forms), I am not a moron I have been doing my job for 9 years and those were the correct forms. But thanks for making extra work for me whilst you sit there bossing me about like I am a child and someone new to the job. I have worked here for 9 years and have gained the respect and trust of my colleagues, you haven't even been in the job 9 weeks and don't have any of that.

I am so close to walking out and going home and it is taking all my effort to not walk upstairs and hand my notice in as this is proving to be one of the the final straws.

Not much annoys me immensely, but people using apostrophes incorrectly, "I love your dog's" is on the list. Along with "I could care less"

The everyone for themselves principle really does apply a lot round here for buses, but i think in this particular instance, it couldn't have been any clearer that this crowd of people were waiting for this particular bus, mainly because it was in a shopping centre bus area so you had the enclosed shelter part and the exit "door" in the middle and the crowd were all milling around the door area.

A similar situation happened to me a while ago with this woman trying to push in but I wasn't prepared to let her get on before me, so i was trying to move in front of her as everyone moved forward but i was slightly off balance and ended up knocking in to her - it wasn't a full on barge or shove or anything, just a slight stumble and she happened to be in the way.

She, of course, thought i was trying to barge in to her and barged me right back

Bus queues really annoy me, especially the people who don't queue with everyone else but think they should be first because they were standing 30ft away when the queue formed. Where I used to live there was a woman who thought she was always first in the queue because the bus stop was outside her house. The bus would arrive and she'd run out and try to barge past everyone to get on.
Getting off buses is a hassle too thanks to some idiots who can't wait for people to get off. There are three people who do that every morning at the stop I get off at. Twenty or so people trying to get off and three trying to get on at the same time. Drivers who know the route will stop a short distance from the stop if they see them waiting as it's pointless trying to ask them to wait.

Apostrophe abuse really irritates me. What's really stupid is that you invariably see correct and incorrect usage of them in the very same sentence. Like this: 'I love your dog's, but am not keen on cats.'

Same here.
Harry's messy barnet irritates me every time I see him on TV. The Doncaster lad's is almost as bad.
They were on TV loads last week and one of their pics looked like a still from Planet of the Apes.

There's a member of another forum I'm on who drives everyone mad with his crimes against grammar.
He goes through phases (or "phase's" as he'd put it), one time he was obsessed with smileys and would have more smileys than words in a sentence.
Then he went through a phase of using no punctuation at all, everything was just one long rambling sentence.
Now he's into misplaced apostrophes, repetition and using either question marks or exclamation marks as punctuation.
Here's an example "Our Saturday meeting took place on a cold and chilly and freezing Saturday and we wished we had on warmer clothe's due to the cold and chilly and freezing weather on Saturday when we had our Saturday meeting?"

We've got a couple like that at work, now they are "gearing up for Christmas!" In fact all they ever seem to do is get involved in organsing parties etc, they never seem to do their real jobs. Anything is an excuse for them to start putting up the bunting and trying to cajole busy people into taking part in whatever daft activity they are organising.
Of course if you don't want to get involved you are a killjoy and a party-pooper. Sorry but I'm there to do the job I'm paid to do, if I want to have a party it will be with people I want to party with.

There's a boutique of some description that I pass regularly on my cycling route which has a banner tied up on the railing outside, advertising their services/products, including "Hair extension's and wedding package's available".

I keep seeing on the facebook by and sell pages Amazon Fire TV Stick's for £50, £60 +. It annoys me that someones going to fall for this when they could get one new from Amazon for £35

The worst thing (as far as I'm concerned) about all the bad grammar folks is that if you should dare to call them out on it, you're called a 'Grammar Nazi'. I understand that some people don't like to be corrected; they use the same old line "Well, you still understood me, so what's the problem?" (probably without the apostrophe) but comparing me to a bunch of racist, fascist monsters is not only extremely offensive but also makes them incredibly naive, ignorant and down right stupid.

The character I mentioned in an earlier post used to contribute to a newsletter I helped edit. We never got beyond half way down one of his pages before giving up. Trying to ask him to check what he'd written was a waste of time. "If you're the editors it's your job to fix it!"

I presume based on the above that this last effort was meant as a joke, surely?

People who phone at an inconvenient point and on being told it's inconvenient acknowledge that it is, but then continue with the conversation as if inconvenient was on a par with a passing comment about the weather and then wonder why the conversation is very one-sided and ends with 'yes look thanks, but I'll have to call back. Bye' and then wonder why it was such a terse ending to that call when phoned back as promised. It's inconvenient = I'm really busy, please go away.
