Unless my hands are full and I'd clearly struggle on my own, people who hold the door open for me when I'm something like 10 or 15+ feet away and expect me to catch up quickly.

OK they're only trying to be polite etc and I get that, especially if as above it looks like I'd have difficulty with it myself but when I'm that far away from the door they're holding open I almost feel compelled to walk quickly, almost jog to get there for some reason.

HELL NO! Thanks for opening it but I didn't ask you to, so I'm not going to speed up. I'll keep going at my own pace thanks....

Use a bit of silicone lubricant for zips which are difficult to do up.

I just don't get you. You seem to like to pick holes in every post and twist people's words.

Yep I've woken up grumpy this morning (the state of mind, not the one from the Seven Dwarves) so I'm on a roll.

People who assume you don't like them purely because they belong to an underprivileged/disadvantaged category, ie female, non-Caucasian, LGBT, disabled, age, lower education level, certain background etc when really it's because they're a bit of a t**t.

In fairness, certain colours and shades DO inspire particular reactions in the brain and to call it a stereotype or imply someone has a prejudice because of the reaction is lazy and just as closed-minded as the attitude of the person they're aiming it at.

For example there are reasons why overdue bills, important road signs and safety warnings etc are in red. Green is associated with health, balance and positivity. Plenty more examples out there.

Pink is considered softer than the more aggressive red. If someone wants to associate 'soft' with feminine or effeminate then that's up to them but colours are proven to influence the brain regardless of how it may annoy individuals who specifically go looking for prejudice but find none.

Watch this.

Either that or get a small Swiss Army knife and use it carefully to break the wrapping.

Don't exaggerate. I might pick holes in some posts, but only if there are decent-sized holes to be picked! However I'm not one for twisting people's words.

I agree. Unnecessary noise pollution like this is not all that trivial a matter.

Pulling up to a junction to turn left onto a main road but it's not clear so you have to wait. Then a car comes up behind wanting to turn right, so they pull alongside half blocking the other side of the road in the process.

And it's usually a 4x4 or a car with blacked out windows which means your view of the oncoming traffic is completely obstructed so you end up inching forward into the flow of traffic trying to get a clear view. Which makes some drivers think you're being impatient and trying to barge your way out of the junction.

People who don't see anything wrong with putting on their right indicator as they approach a roundabout wanting to go straight onwards.

I concur fully.

Way back in the annuls of history I did a spot of maths tutoring to fund my PhD, and I gave one of them something like 4% score on the assignments. This kid genuinely asked be "is it because I am black" and before I could get offended by the accusation of racism I'd already replied "no, it because you only attempted three questions and got two of them wrong"

Not a saying as such but I can't hack it when someone on here writes an unpleasant post and ends it with this or even worse this

It is illegal, but you rarely hear of any prosecutions. Here's an exception:

My husband bought me a dress recently, it is really nice and was the perfect length for work just on my knee but after one wash at 30 it has shrunk and is now 4 inches above my knee. Not the sophisticated work look I was hoping for but still a nice dress.

I recently put a phone on Gumtree that I wanted to straight-swap for one particular handset.

The listing made it clear I was only after that handset, I even added "please don't waste my time or yours by offering me a different phone".

Yep you guessed it, I had people replying offering me other ones. Some, even after I requested that they go back and read the advert again, helpfully proceeded to educate me on why the one they wanted to swap was, in their eyes, better than the phone I said I wanted.

Not only did I get replies offering different phones I even had some asking me how much I wanted to sell it for. These chumps I decided to have a little fun with. I pointed out the fact that if I wanted to sell it I wouldn't have listed the advert in the SWAP section....but amazingly not even this put a few of them off, one or two persisted by saying they had "cash waiting". So to humour them I said I'd take £500 for it which was about £200 more than any vaguely normal water-drinking, oxygen-breathing mammal could hope to get.

I then got replies saying "That's too much, you'll never get that for it".

Honestly....

Yes! I've seen this so many times today.

I'm in a pretty good mood today, but people who come on here and respond to a post with 'are you suggesting...' when it's quite obvious no one suggested that and that they are just looking for a bit of an argument.

Four days ago, my son asked me where I put the packet of hearing aid batteries we bought months ago - we use them in things like watches, laser pen cat toy, etc, but not often. Well, I couldn't find them, so off he went to get some more.

Two days ago, he asked me for a couple of AAA batteries, and we couldn't find any. I knew we had some somewhere, but they weren't in the place we normally put them. Again, off he goes.

So, fast forward to today. Since it's sunny outside, I decided I'd (finally) take my secateurs and go and attack a few small trees that need a quick haircut. And I couldn't find the secateurs.

I then decided to sod it and have another cuppa, then a light went on in my head and I checked the drawer where we keep the batteries and other useful stuff. Bugger me, there were the secateurs AND the watch batteries we couldn't find, AND the bloody AAA batteries. I checked with my son, and the ones he'd bought were in his room. Along with the batteries/etc, what was also in the drawer were four strips of fuse wire that we can never find when we need it.

I only ever put small gardening tools (gloves, trowel, secateurs) in a particular cupboard. I don't know what the hell's going on in my house, I really don't. I'll blame the cats.

People calling me stuck up or assuming that i'm a snob because I dress well. I only dress well because I like clothes and I respect myself. I don't want to walk around in tracksuit bottoms all day.

I kind of relate to that - I dress well because I just feel comfortable in those clothes but as such when I walk down the street beggars always seem to zone in on me. I'm not having a go at them, my little gripe is insignificant to what they go through but still, it happens without fail every time.

Yeah, I just had a row with my sister. She said i'm a stuck up snob because I dress myself well and only wear tracksuits inside. My sister, btw does not care what she wears and pretty much wears hoodies and tracksuits day after day.

I don't think i'm better than anyone, I just like the finer things in life. By dressing well i'm not trying to impress, i'm doing it because that's what I like and that's who I am. I always think dressing yourself well shows a sign of respect for yourself.

Phone not working again! Doesn't want to send emails when I'm out and about. Making me look like a f.ucking idiot when people try to contact me.
Tells me I have voice messages awaiting when I don't. Camera doesn't work properly.
Absolute heap of crap. Never buying from LG ever again.

Other annoyances:
-People who litter,no wonder the town looks like a dump
-People who spit in the street
-When you work really hard on something, and people question you about it but with questions that are picking holes. Then at the end of the conversation you feel like a failure.
-Maniacs on bikes, especially whizzing past on pavements
-When acrylic paint dries up at the end of the tube despite me sealing it over with tape/a lid.

Thanks, is there much difference between this and WD40 original? As I already have a can of the original stuff.
