I'm not talking about one item being placed on a shelf along with a couple of dozen different items, ie a customer putting something in the wrong place. Even I can see what's happened there, thank you. I'm talking about a section of shelving stacked with one type of item, obviously stacked by an employee, and a sticker underneath those items. Yes, of course mistakes happen, but I don't think every single complaint, Watchdog article, newspaper article and so on are off the mark. That's what I was talking about, not the examples you've linked to. To be honest I'd be very surprised if you found anything about it. Deliberately putting labels on the wrong items indicates a very specific type of dishonesty, one I'd be very surprised to hear of in British shops.

How do you feel when members of staff see you're wearing them but still ask you how you are, then act all miffed when you don't respond because you haven't heard them cos, as they knew, you were listening to music ?

Since turning 20 i've noticed a massive change in attitudes towards friendship. It's just something i've been thinking about lately. Ive just noticed that people don't want to be bothered anymore.

I thought that it was me and that there was something wrong with me but i've now come to the conclusion that it is often them and not me. They just don't care! Most people i've come into contact with have been a massive pain and i've had to make a massive effort to even get them to talk! Even people that I was friendly with have changed and don't make an effort unless I do.

There are alot of people out there though who have very strong, hard friendships and it is amazing that they have been able to maintain them, I applaud them!

I sometimes feel like not bothering. I've had so many broken hearts and break ups that I often wonder if anyone actually truly cares. Why should I maintain a friendship with someone who is only half interested and only speaks to me if I speak to them?

I feel like people are too quick to judge me and don't give me a chance or try to get to know me. They get bored of me quickly. I just hope i'm not shooting myself in the foot by taking a step back!

It really does drain alot of energy out of me. The people on my course are 18 and they have a very immature outlook on life, they have hardly changed since school.

The increasing use of over emotive language these days, just to try and prove/make a relatively minor point. You see it all the time on DS.

Well initially i'd hope they'd have the common sense to see that i have headphones in and not actually try and talk to me. But then I do usually find that if i see someone approaching me in a shop, I'll take one bud out in case they say anything and if not, i'll just pop it right back in.

But then if someone sees i've got headphones in and still tries to say something to me then i can't say i'm that bothered about their reaction if i don't answer or if i walk past because i haven't heard them.

American style fridge freezers. They are vastly expensive in most cases and often you can't get them through the front door, as they are too big. This is the UK, not the USA.

My current gripe is chuggers, they make me feel uncomfortable. I'm nice enough to say 'sorry i'm not interested' and afterwards they always make a stupid comment like 'oh so you don't care about *Britain/the homeless,the environment etc.'

Funny how they always make a snide comment when I'm walking away, next time I'll turn around and tell them 'don't be an arsehole'.

When I'm in a shop and there's another person heading towards me and I politely step aside so as to let them pass by- AND THEY DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I COULD HAVE PLOUGHED THROUGH THEM!!!! I've started muttering "you're welcome" under my breath...

You're not the only one, I had this with my ex/best friend from uni - I had to initiate everything, all the contact, and in return by the end I was being treated like crap and it would take him 5 weeks plus just to reply to a text; it got so frustrating for me because I was putting in all the effort and got nothing back (and before then we were as close as could be) so just over a year ago I made the decision to cut all contact with him as I had just had enough. I had a 30 min phone conversation with him telling him why I had to do this (and the fact he wasn't fighting to keep the friendship told me everything) and after that I deleted his number from my phone, deleted him from any social media etc and I had told him to never contact me again. Haven't spoken to him since and although it means I now don't have any friends outside of work, it was the right thing to do for my sanity.

*sigh* right so my trivial thing (in relation to Tasty Delight's actually) is people who block pavements - I know this has already been mentioned but my particular bugbear is parents (mostly the mothers) with pushchairs who insist on having 2 pushchairs side by side so they can talk to their friend whilst walking, meanwhile I'm having to go into the road in order to avoid them.

Also related to this is people who JUST STOP WALKING whilst heading into/out of somewhere, thereby making us behind them have to suddenly stop and walk around them - most of the time I look back and I'll see them staring at their phone. At least get out/in the building and show some bloody consideration!!

When I get off a bus and the driver gives me a dirty look for not thanking him...but why should I thank someone for doing what they're supposed to, ie their job?? Does he think I was worried he may have gone off 200 miles in the wrong direction?

Or drivers who give the same look if I fail to thank them when I have right of way anyway.....

I must be very old fashioned then as I would find this very rude, in the same way as a bloke wearing a hat indoors, speaking with your mouth full, elbows on the table, reading at the table and not holding the four four someone. I hate rudeness.🙅

My pet hate is supermarkets, why does entering one mean that 90% of people forget that we live in a civilised society!

There are loads of examples of this but one that really got my annoyed was when I had my pushchair with me and was looking in the shelves for something so didn't see it was blocking the way for someone. Had they drawn my attention to this or said excuse me, I would have been more that happy to move it and being British probably apologised for being in their way! Instead the person moved my pushchair with my baby in it away from me and further down the aisle. I saw this immediately and moved on wishing I had the balls to say something about it.

I can understand that and I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to be deliberately rude to people because it's not how I was brought up. I just find that having them in helps me deal with a lot of society in general.

Today being a good example - i'd just missed the bus back home so had to wait 25 minutes for the next one. A pensioner appeared at the bus stop as well after about 15 minutes and with about 2 minutes to go, a woman and, I assume, her five children all strolled up to the stop as well.

The bus came and it was my intention to let the pensioner on before me, but the woman's children just strolled straight on to the bus first. Obviously the pensioner isn't going to say anything and stood there until I said rather loudly "go on, you were here first" and motioned her to get on, which she did, and then I stepped in front of the woman and the remainder of her children who were still trying to all pile on.

I know it's "only" a queue, but it's just that kind of self-centered, shitty attitude from some people that's a lot of the reason I use headphones when I'm out because it helps me block it out and, for the most part, ignore it.
