After being without a washing machine for 3 weeks, it's finally been fixed - and rain is forecast for the next few days. Grrr

Eep.

In my defence... my 'default setting', if you like, is to walk up to a crossing and press the button. Rarely, I press it and then notice the road's clear, so I scuttle across, trying to look innocent if any cars happen to end up stopping well after I've crossed.

Even more rarely, I approach the crossing and actually look at the road before pressing the button. I expect I should do that more often.

I'm ever so very sorry.
I'm the same, you're not alone there. I try to have a good sense of awareness around me, but more often than not, the damn lights don't change for a minute or more when you press the button...by which time a gap has appeared in the road and you can cross safely.

^ There have been plenty of times when the road's been clear for a minute or two and the damn lights stay on green - by which time I've already crossed.

If I've ever affected you by doing this, I apologise.

Scam artists who target the unemployed.
Yes I'm talking about you uppity posho sounding London fella calling about my CV, no doubt leading to a phone line that will charge a lot.

I am not religious but hope that hell does exist just so these scumbags can burn there for eternity.

Overuse of the phrase "lack of empathy". It seems like any behaviour that's a bit rude or selfish or inconsiderate is deemed "lack of empathy" and taken as, not just bad manners or insensitivity, but a sign of serious psychological or neurological problems. I see this everywhere now, and not just in the press. I know someone who is convinced her 16-year-old son has Asperger's Syndrome because he displays a "lack of empathy" by ... answering her back and refusing to watch TV with his parents in the evening. What do you expect? He's a teenager!

People with Aspergers / Autism do have empathy. We just show it differently. And I'm with you on that - sounds like a teenager!

Typing a date in Word and the "th" after the number changes to tiny letters. If someone knows how to turn this off, please tell me!

Being in a lift with someone who stinks of BO. Even worse, the lift was busy so I was stuck standing behind him.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned (sorry, I'm not reading 370-odd pages...), but those skinny little 'hanging loops' that seem to be in all women's clothes now - they are utterly useless and drive me bonkers (I delight in ripping them out and hurling them across the room!). They're in every damn garment - who thought of this daft idea and why?!

When I'm driving.

Pulling up at a pellican crossing just as the lights turn to red, only to find the plonker has already crossed over and is half way down the road.
Where I live, we have a bus lane. It baffles me as to why people press the button for traffic lights. It's not as if there are a lot of buses going that way.

Atmospherics!

We now have wall-to-wall football on TV, and guess what? For three days I have not been able to access TVplayer, Utube, or use my mobile phone - and it doesn't seem to be getting any better out there.

Bah!

Self service tills telling me to insert my card to collect points when I've bought something for < £1. You don't get points for such purchases so STOP ASKING FOR MY FRICKIN CARD DAMMIT.

The way Microsoft Outlook automatically includes any invites you've been sent into your calendar. (Such as today, when a colleague invited me to a meeting on a day that I'm not working. I've requested to have it another day, but it's already in my calendar for the original date.)

Also: the advertising hoardings for Hisense during the Euro 2016 matches: "#China's No.1 TV brand" or similar. For two reasons (1) You're trying to make a hashtag for it and (2) It wouldn't work, because of the apostrophe, spaces and full stop.

When there is small utilities work going on on a wide pavement (pedestrians still have spave to get by) but then they have to put cones out blocking half the road - and then it's normally the sign saying lane narrows that takes up most of the road lane anyway!

Supermarkets which don't have contactless payment - I've been using it in Morrisons for years, but the Tesco and Sainsbury's nearby still don't have it

Poor ownership I think you'll find. A lot of people spoil those wee dogs like babies, they don't have boundaries, are not socialised well and as such they behave as you've described. My little Jack Russell is a terrific little chap, he knows how to greet other dogs and is friendly and waggy-tailed to young and old. He'll sit by the front door and look out and bark now and then but when we're out and about on a walk he never makes a sound at other dogs or people.

You get people who say 'Sorry but he doesn't like other dogs/he doesn't like children'....then damn well DO something about it! I don't know why people accept such poor behaviour from their dogs when there are training classes everywhere to deal with such issue. I couldn't bear owning a dog that you had to steer away from other people or keep apologising for it.

I agree it can be annoying. I have a JR who is very friendly with all dogs but she does love to bark to encourage me to throw a ball etc. It's almost a case of 'Come on, I'm waiting' which I don't class as aggressive or bad behaviour.

Help lines that repeatedly say, "Your call is important to us" for the half hour you are kept waiting on the line. At the end I generally shout, "If it's so bloody important why don't you hire a few extra staff here!"

Key tones on phones (pointless in general, and especially annoying when people don't turn them off)

My inability to form close, personal relationships

The way some people care more about animals than humans
