That's reminded me of a similar thing, on Shane Ritchie's daytime quiz show Decimate when he gets to the tenth question (each player gets asked ten questions) for each player (so three bloody times per episode!) he says "ok, this is your last and final question"

He MUST KNOW they mean the same thing!

People who are in long term relationships being referred to as 'dating'.
Or when someone is said to have dated someone when in reality they went out once or had a one night stand.
In fact I just hate the word 'dating'-makes me cringe

Find out Bookies, as well as the straight win bet, offer a "both teams score and your side wins" bet. So I didn't just miss out on a load of money cos I didn't bet on Iceland, I missed out on a BIG load of money had I done that both teams thing... darn it.

Large groups of people who hog the whole of the pavement. They then give me dirty looks for getting in "their" way. Just where the hell am I meant to go? The road where all the traffic is?

When you squeeze one out and don't know where it landed

The idea of being 'the one' or a 'perfect man/woman' out there. People believe this and end up deluding themselves looking for perfection.

Also people who expect chemistry straight away. I honestly think it's a once in a lifetime thing to meet someone and feel a magnetic attraction/bond straight away. With strangers, it takes time to build chemistry. It's like people want instant this and instant that, no one bothers to put effort/time into anything. Effort = too much hard work.

Oh I don't know about once in a lifetime. Happens to me quite a lot!

^ With the millions of people in the world I think there's bound to be a whole load of "the one"s for any particular person. (apart from me though, darn it. )

I went to the city to pick up a couple of click and collects yesterday. The first store I went into had 2 tills, the customer at the first one seemed to be buying half the store and the customer at the second one seemed to be returning the other half of the store. It took forever.

The second store I went into the woman behind the till looked liked I'd asked her to pick up dog shit when I said I had a click and collect. There was an over the top tut and an eye roll. This happens every time I go to pick up something there, I only order because they never have my size in store and it's cheaper than a normal delivery (plus I'm never in to receive a delivery in the week due to work, I can get stuff delivered to work but I buy bras from this place and feels a bit awkward having them delivered to work ). If I had the option of shopping elsewhere I would just to avoid the miserable shop workers there but the company is the only one that sells bras in my size and the style I want. (I get everyone has bad days but it's every time I go there)

I live in place which has large groups of "language students" in the summer, and very narrow pavements. My wife once over heard a conversation between two elderly ladies discussing the merits of knitting needles in such situations.

There are loads of different versions of bets out there. Before the England/Wales game my colleague placed a bet on Gareth Bale to score first and for England to win 2-1 which obviously happened

The fact that, if you go to work on your birthday (like I kinda had to today), you have to buy your colleagues cake.

I've probably already mentioned on this thread (I honestly can't remember, but can't be bothered to check) but people walking towards you on the pavement two or three abreast, who seemingly have zero intention of moving aside even one millimetre to let you walk past them. They must think I have the power to dematerialise just before I dare to have the audacity to want to walk past them on the pavement, rather than leaping into the road to get squished by any passing traffic. When it becomes clear they aren't going to make way for me coming the other way I now stop dead (I don't do this with elderly, barely able to walk types I must stress!), forcing them to go around me. When I am walking with someone and there isn't room for someone to pass walking the other way I always drop back behind or in front of who I am with out of common courtesy.

Right now it's the dripping kitchen tap!

I've got the house to myself tonight as my housemate is out and I'm in the backroom reading Harry Potter and the one with Tom Riddles olde fashioned blog and the dripping is p****** me off... That and the RSI in my left wrist is being extremely irritating right now. I've never actually known pain to tickle before!

When watching sport for instance tennis today and that annoying logo thing keeps flashing on the screen.It happens with football too. Why do they do it? Funny enough I asked my husband if he found it irritating too and he said he has never noticed it.
Must be me.

People who don't use lights in heavy fog at all especially silver cars which then decide to stop on a country road on a tight bend with nothing to alert you to their presence.

That! My last 3 cars over 10 years have been silver and I know they are invisible to everybody else especially pedestrians even with the lights on and a diesel engine that sounds like a canal barge.

Oh and people who dress in dark clothes at night and walk along unlit roads with their back to traffic!

A few years ago I was driving in what could only be described as a monsoon, even though it was early afternoon the sky was pitch black and the rain was coming down sideways. As I drove slowly around the tight country roads the only thing that alerted me to two women walking in the middle of the road was when one of them turned around and I literally saw the whites of her eyes (and face) I honestly wouldn't have seen them otherwise because they were in dark colours making no attempt to stay off the road or at least walk against traffic as you are supposed too.

Other people's driving, but it isn't trivial it's dangerous.

I've held a full UK driving license for over fifty years. Just one endorsement and no accidents which were my fault. I've driven these local roads for about thirty years and know them pretty well. I've owned the same car for about five years, so I know that pretty well too.

I love driving and race virtual cars on laser scanned tracks most days. I do OK for my age and I'm safer than most. Sure, I don't hang about on the roads, but I do know what I'm doing and it's idiotic to worry about me being behind you when all you need do is concentrate on your own driving. Brake checking the car behind is always stupid. I've also had drivers accelerate as hard as they can to prevent me pulling back in and seriously endangering my life, theirs and those in the car coming towards me.

Why not just pull back a bit if you driving so closely is making people nervous?

BIB: Yes but how many more accidents have you caused by tailgating? Sorry but you give older drivers a bad name.

EXTREME TECH RAGE, when you really want to get some trivial tech shite out of the way so you can get on with life but you're stuck in some negative feedback boot loop of frustration and mounting rage.

You must be very lucky then. To clarify I meant that straight magnetic attraction from both sides. Like a balance struck between the two people (the feeling being mutual).

My annoyance is summer;
-getting caught in the sun (wearing suncream) for about 2 minutes leading me to 2 days of sunburn
-fleas
-flies and wasps
-heat rash
-smug couples holding hands in public and PDA
-Everywhere being overcrowded
-getting a shower, then walking from A to B and starting to sweat
-dozy people ,especially some drivers - I think their brain slows down when it gets hot
