The phrase "My goodness". It used to be a bit quaint, something your granny would say, but now it seems that everybody's saying it, particularly TV presenters. OK, it probably doesn't "annoy me intensely", but it does make me cringe slightly. Don't know why really

Politicians who, when questioned, start their sentences with the word “Look!”;….it seems to be mainly (but not exclusively) Politicians who do this;

…although annoying it can be quite entertaining because it generally means that the Politician is ‘struggling’ a bit.

Noticed that on the telly this morning, it's a bit rude isn't it? The French do the same, with "Ecoutez..."

The sound of noisy and fast keyboard typing - sounds like a hailstorm - and also rubs it in how slow I am at typing!
People who pretend not to not notice you as you go in a pub or whatever then start twisting around to see you surreptitiously as you are at the bar.
Choosing the wrong queue at the checkout - what looks the shortest is usually the slowest due to customer faffage.

On a similar vein the Yours Clothing in Milton Keynes is the most cramped store I've ever seen. I don't know if other Yours Clothing stores are the same but considering its a shop for plus size clothing you'd think they'd have taken into account their customers are probably larger than the average shopper, not smaller.

This completely. This happens on the bus from my local train station. There are lots of OAP's who rely on the bus service, a lot with mobility issues, so the majority of us will always ensure they can get on first and get their seats, but occasionally you get some selfish idiot who barges past them and gets on first.

^ It is the OAPs who do this barging their way through, where I live. The most annoying time is at the bus station, where obviously everyone currently on that bus will be disembarking.

Having said that, I mostly travel by bus during the day, where there are far more OAPs and less younger people traveling, so it could just be a general thing rather than that age group!

Someone from work who gets the bus with us all (5 people) we get off at a stop and you have to walk 10 minutes to work (Bus drops at 8:30/35 and we start at 9) So we all get there in plenty of time. However one woman when we get off the bus refuses to walk the 10 minutes and waits for the 8:45 bus that turns our way and drops off outside the door...All fine

However the 8:45 bus is never on time because it comes from the town centre so is often nearer 9 than 8:45 so she wanders in usually 9:10 and often later after everyone has sorted everything and she is leaving us short staffed for that 10 minutes which can be very busy.

Whenever this is mentioned to management the response is 'She has done that since we came here and she won't change' I think it is very unfair as over the week it adds up to a lot of time

It is sheer laziness as she has no illness/disability that stops her it is just she hates walking as she has admitted herself

I think I've mentioned this woman before on this thread. It's one I used to work with and called her Katherine of Aragant for good reason.

She would frequently turn up for work 5 or 10 minutes late. Other days she would be 'early' and make a song and dance about it. 9.59 arrival for a 10.00 start! But you always knew if she started early (by a minute) she would want to leave early, by 5 minutes, and if she thought nobody was looking 10 minutes!

When she was challenged about it the excuse was 'child care' even though they often left their son in the house to shop on weekends.
If that didn't work it was time for the tears and a weekly reminder that she was on Prozac. Though my friend who had suffered post natal depression (twice) bulimia and had been sectioned used her awesome gallows humour to also call her the Prozac Queen.

That can be so demoralising. It could be a case of what does everyone else think of me?

It could be the polite/non-blasphemous way of saying 'Oh, God', a bit like 'Lor, Blimey' which is the polite way of saying 'Lord, Blind Me'.

They nearly all answer using 'I mean....' to questions which are put to them.

Most definitely. Although I can quite happily swear like a trouper (around friends) I obviously don't while in general company.

But over the last year or so I've become a huge Lindsey Stirling fan who is a Mormon and doesn't allow swearing on her tour and that means the YouTube videos too. Because I've watched that many videos saying 'Oh my gosh' or something similar is quite natural now.

Oh, sure, I get that. It just seems a particularly quaint variant to use. Still, better that than "f*** me" I suppose!

Songs that have extremely long 'repeat to fade' endings. Those that seem to consist of under 2 minutes of song followed by 3 minutes of repeating the same few lines.

Two of the worst offenders for me are 'I'm every woman' by Chaka Kahn which just repeats that line in different key changes for what feels like an eternity. Or 'Simply the Best' by Tina Turner which is even worse as it's always played at crap discos and works Christmas parties with everybody having to do a weird Can Can / Hookey Kookey type dance until it ends.... Which of course it never does, or atleast that's how it feels.

Those people who are saying that we should have a General Election because of Theresa May becoming Prime Minister tomorrow. It's not going to happen - thanks to the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011. (There are two ways where there can be an early General Election - but one requires a motion of no confidence in her to be passed and the other requires the support of 434 MPs. And, let's face it, both are unlikely to happen.)

Also: Labour criticising Mrs May for being unelected. I suppose that's completely unrelated to when Gordon Brown became PM (again without a vote).

I've heard of 'faffing' but not faffage - - what a great word

True, but at the same time, the same Mrs May moaned in 2007 when Brown took over from Blair and said there should be an election. So both sides are basically being hypocritical...

The checkout girl in ASDA who when I got to her checkout she said it was closed, so I went to a different checkout only to see a guy rock up and get served by her!

"Hey Jude" is the worst offender here.
