The fact that the latest Samsung phones (S5 and up) have beauty face enabled by default on the front facing camera. I found this out when one of my mates was taking selfies showing his beard. I was wondering why his face looked so airbrushed and horrible. He let me play with his phone today and I found that the beauty option on the selfie camera was set to 2 so I have now set it to 0. This is beyond absurd. What the hell are Samsung thinking of by putting beauty face on by default??? They need to understand that it does NOT suit the majority of men so should be off by default.

The massive amount of ads on DS. I've had to install an adblocker, which blocks an average 17 ads on a DS page, but a couple of articles have had 33 (Lady Gaga writing songs) or 42 (bizarre Xmas specials). I know ads is their main income source, but come on! My browsing is so much better now!

Best of year lists which only cover 11 months.
That reminded me of another one ... 'All-time greatest' lists in which around 80% of the stuff is from the previous 6 or 12 months.

Yeah, I know it's still fresh in your memory, but the vast majority of the best books, films, songs ever were published or released in the past year?

Amazing how many of thse 'best evers' don't stand the test of time as they disappear from the following year's 'best ever' list!

Indeed. You may as well call them "I love five minutes ago!"

Well, I don't think I am one of the so-called TV masses but I would find it difficult to hold a conversation with someone wearing a burka. I find that I can read a persons feelings and emotions through their whole face and not just the eyes. Speech is often hard to hear as well. I'm also of the opinion (taking a big risk here) that 'when in Rome,' etc.

Perhaps they don't expect so many men to take selfies and mostly have it for the ladies who may appriciate it?

That's so weird - I've never heard of beauty face before.
Maybe I should get one lol.

My annoyance is having to be careful with what I eat so my skin doesn't get worse, meanwhile my colleagues constantly stuff their faces with rubbish and barely get a blemish.

And also, I care about women, being one myself, and having daughters.
I am so sad that some people really think that either, their women must be covered up entirely. Or, that a woman feels she has to cover up.

That anyone born and bred in a western, free country can condone this, is sad.

All that said, I am equally sad when I see how some western women go through insane plastic surgery or/and post a ridiculous amount of photoshopped selfies in order to please God knows who.

It must have something to do with self esteem.

When, *exactly*, did Brexit become Bregsit? Because that's how a lot of people are pronouncing it.

This is something I didnt know annoyed me till it kept happening .

On the daytime shows where they get an expert in property like Coast and Country to find them their dream home. They get to see 6 homes 3 by the sea and 3 in the country. All perfecty lovely house. At the end they say right have you picked your dream home?? Ermmm no we need to see how much money we have (having said at the start what their budget was !) and thats it. Its like when they do it looking for a home abroad the same thing ...we will go home and have a think about it Bugs the life out of me Im sat there watching and there is no happy ending lol

Neighbours who pretend not to be at home when Amazon delivers a package for them... so that I have to take it in for them instead... and then they don't bother to come to the door to collect it.

Well, I'm afraid it can stay just where it is, in our porch, because I have no intention of taking it across to them.

Indeed he did.

ECT is electro-convulsive therapy, in any case.

When the screen moves as you click on something and you end up with "20 things you never knew about celebrities" or "you'll never believe what Michelle Fowler looks like now " instead.

People who constantly talk about their partner. It's like they have nothing interesting to say about themselves, instead they have to give us an update on their boyfriend/girlfriend.

It's Spanglish. In Spanish "como" (how) is used where in English "what" is used. So in spanish "what is your name" is "como te llamas", the literal translation of that would be "how are you called". That's where it comes from, though I doubt many of those using it would have a clue.
Actually the literal translation is "how do you call yourself".
