- Drivers edging over the line whilst the lights are on red to the point where they are entirely over the line and in full breach of the law by the time the lights change. Clearly these people are in too much of a rush to waste the extra second it would have taken to travel that distance with the lights on green.
- The widespread use of automated systems for helplines and other numbers that make it almost impossible for you to speak to a real person. It's a very bad first impression to make on your customer.
- So, sooo many things from my time in retail, but I would highlight the general attitude of some shoppers that any given shop is a public service rather than a business who don't understand that I do NOT have to give you a refund, order an item in just for you, open on bank holidays, or charge you a ridiculous low price that was mistakenly labelled.
- My other main retail gripe is people who take your place in the company rather too seriously and forget that you're just there for the wages and simply do not have the power to influence pricing or other company policy.
- People who think you're being miserable or ruining other people's night by not drinking. If you need other people to take a mildly poisonous drug in your presence in order for you to have fun then it's you with the problem, I'm afraid.
- Facebook attention-seekers who are pretending not to be. I don't actually have a problem with people who are shameless about it because they're not hiding their intentions. I do have a problem with people who upload photos with taglines like "I look so awful" so that people will tell them they're beautiful, or vague statuses like "so upset, how is this happening?" so that people will ask them why.
