Jeremy Vine pronouncing Sony as "sonni" repeatedly.
He seems to be using the Japanese pronunciation. Sony is soh-nii (soh-nee) like sonny.

The one you're probably familiar with is the English pronunciation of Sony. It's not wrong. Just different.

In other words, both pronunciations are fine. It's always been Sony's intention to make their company name simple and flexible as long as it's instantly recognisable.

Edited:
I get annoyed/awkward when my response ends up at top of a new page. Makes me feel like I've been shoved onto a stage. The whole deer in headlights thing. I'm thinking I need to stop contributing to this thread.

Coming from an Englishman it sounds ridiculous.

I can see what you think that. For me, a silly choice if his audience was British English. Best to go with the one the audience is most familiar with.

People who don't like leaving voicemail messages. Why?! It's there for a reason!
For me it's just really awkward as I'm never sure what to say and usually it just ends up a mess no one can understand

Kay Burley trying to express sadness whilst presenting the news about the truck ploughing into pedestrians in a Glasgow precinct . She'd just love to be in the thick of it asking her usual insensitive questions

Most people on Twitter, not all of them but some of them. They just talk tut and think they're incredibly, incredibly witty and funny when most of the time they are not :/
Makes me cringe a bit tbh.

Cars in tesco carpark park so close to each other ?

I then have 3 heavy bags to trolley in and out of the gaps in between trying to get to the last trolley port..Instead of carrying them to the bus station..The buses don't come and no bus stop for any passengers or customers therfore have to carry all shopping back to the bus stop(s)..I find that annoying( trying not to bash any cars or scrape them with trolley
Rant over

Most people think they look bad but they probably don't. I bet your friends and family would disagree

Another one was about today

Yesterday i bought 2 dark bounty dark choc bars...( as there are 2 parts to it in the pack)

I love having one part in work as i get in with a coffee( i love to dunk it in and suck choc off )
anyway as i got in work first thing i open fridge to get my milk out and make coffee, then i realized the half choc bar had gone( i said to another staff member that it gone as there is new woman started )..i didn't accuse anyone to take it, but just seems odd where it went.as on one else said they ate it..so this member of staff is gonna have quiet word with new woman ? Unless im loosing my marbles and ate it and didn't think i ate it --but the red wrapper was half way in the kitchen bin, as i cleaner i saw it as i emptied the bin ?
well i will know in the morning when i go back and see what happened to it, all odd though---rant over again Lol

I have a second job as a fitness instructor so have quite a few fitness friends on FB and I am so fed up with reading the words "smashed it" "BOOM" "awesome" and "guys". It can only get worse in January.....

Charity ads and also those from ambulance-chasing lawyers – in equal measure.

Had one of those cold callers today. Conversation went a bit like this:

She: Hello, am I speaking to Mrs ...... ?
Me: Yes
She: I believe one of your family was involved in an accident recently
Me: No, that's a load of rubbish and you are working for a fraudulent company.

Slams the phone down.

... and another thing:

A couple of years ago I bought one of those tokens which can be used instead of a one pound coin in shopping trollies. It was attached to my key ring and proved to be very useful when shopping at Sainsbury and one or two other stores but NOT Tesco I have found. Apparently, according to other Tesco shoppers the token is too small and even tho it releases the trolly it then falls out, so now I have a handy little clip on my keyring but no blo**dy token.

^Getting to Tescos and finding you ain't got a one-pound coin so have to go in, buy something cheap, leave, get a trolley and return before you can do your shopping. Bloody annoying.

Why not go to customer services and just ask for some change?

I'm not a people person.
OR: I go ~5am so it' probably quicker doing the "buy something" route than trying to find an attendee to get me change.

I like to wind them up:
Them: I'd like to talk about your recent car accident.
Me: Yes, I've had amnesia ever since.
Them: Can you tell us more?
Me: About what?
Them: Your car accident
Me: What accident?
And so on

That's the correct way to pronounce Nike. (According to themselves...)
