What kind of man thinks it is clever to boast that he shagged over 1,000 women ? He clearly cared nothing for his wife at all, poor woman.

I think that's extremely unfair. His wife died and I'm sure he cared a lot for her. As for the 1000 women thing, he was hardly boasting and if anything seemed reluctant to confirm that.

As for Ken, I'm glad to see him back. It's strange not to have him on the street

He did admit to having affairs behind his first wife' back (Anna Cropper) however wasn't it Piers Morgan on Life Stories who came up with the large figure, but Roache refused to comment on how many women he had. Then of course it was all over the headlines claiming he admitted to sleeping with 1000 women.

Not excusing his affairs at all, but it amazes me some still believe in that sensationalist headline.

He was found not guilty some time ago now, maybe 9 months. Why has it taken so long for him to come back?

The actor understandably probably needed a long break after that ordeal and scripts are written months in advance.

He hasn't come back until now, as storylines up to now, were already penned before the verdict

Not a great Ken fan to be honest, personally can't understand how he has managed to stay in Coronation Street for almost 60 years as he is an average actor in my opinion, but i know a lot like him and he is a Coronation Street legend so he will be there until he dies. Not a great fan of Bill Roache himself with all his Pure love rubbish and his boasting about his previous lifestyle in the 60's and his strange views about how some victims are to blame for being raped was always going to come back and bite him which it did with the allegations.

I hope he hasn't forgotten how to act the way Michael Le Vell had.

Ken Barlow is a rubbish character, portrayed by a talentless, wooden actor. No wonder he's been on the same show for the last 200 years - he's not good enough to move on. Ken has no presence or gravitas - he won't make any difference when he returns.

I have to say, I haven't missed him at all.
