just wanted to say that i thought Audrey was very funny last night trying to get into see Ken at his house, then later in the pub. Also her remarks to Gail about Micheal that she was tired of watching her simpering over him hit the nail on the head, also her comments about Max were very good.

So are you saying that you agree with Audrey that a child with ADHD just needs treating like a badly behaved child?

She was spot on about Gail and Michael but have to agree a child with ADHD is not just a badly behaved child. I wish the script writers would do their research before making diagnosis.

Many people do think this is the case though! Which is why when they do a storyline like this they raise awareness and educate people about the condition.

It was right cheeky of her, banging away at Deirdre's front door like that and trying to wheedle her way in uninvited.

If Deirdre had given her a thick ear there and then, nobody would have blamed her one jot.
Pretty obvious she was only there in the hope of getting off with Ken behind Deirdre's back anyway.
The cheek and brass neck of the woman.

I notice she dashed straight round to Gail's after that, clearly hoping that dishy Michael would be there, or maybe the Gas man who'd come to read the meter or something.

They have. They have shown the GP saying that ADHD is a possibility and that Max needs to be referred for assessment to confirm or deny the possibility.

They also (very realistically) showed Audreh - who comes from a generation where ADHD didn't officially exist - being sceptical about it.

Corrie have done nothing wrong in this respect so far.

She did seem extraordinarily keen to see him didn't she? I do think she's wasting her time there though and may have to settle for a good Lennising instead.
Where does that woman get off nicking her daughters boyfriends anyway?

I did like the expression on her face when Gail was simpering all over Les though. She looked liked she was drinking vinegar

She's always been a flighty piece has that Audrey.
I remember her trying to seduce Jim McDonald by answering her door in just a flimsy nightie.
It was four in the afternoon too, I know this for a fact because I could hear the Countdown music coming from her front room.
The shameless hussy.

She makes out that she was oh so devoted to her Alfie - yeah right, devoted to his wallet more like.
Aud was always trying to bed fellas behind his back, just because he was terrible in the bedroom due to him being so rotund - then the moment he croaks it in Gail's comfy armchair, she pretends to be absolutely distraught - but I could see her eyes were full of pound signs and not the tears she'd have you believe.

She's always judging Gail too, and calling Maria a silly girl - darned cheek of the woman.
Nobody's hubby is safe when Aud is around, and that's a fact.
She'd have her hand down your fella's trousers before you could say Bob Robinson.

It's unfortunate that my daughter has two boys with autism and ADHD and her Mother-in-Law says just that! "I'd give them a good hiding if they were mine!" Just as well they're not, then!

Now Oldnj, you know that's horsefeathers. Those scriptwriters would have us believe there's no such thing as ADHD. Have they no understanding or compassion?

I'd bang their bloomin heads together, knock some sense into them.

You're right as usual HaH, and that sort of treatment certainly worked on me. (Well apart from that 'special' school I had to go to for a few years and the occasional blackouts I still have to this day).

I think Audrey's great too. Just watched some scenes with her and Bet Lynch from years ago, she's very funny. Had some major storyline involvement over the years too. She's a fantastic actress really. Good old Miss pop off

Audrey simpered over Lewis for long enough

As for ADHD yes its a diagnosis for a genuine condition, but trust me there are many shit parents out there who dont deserve to be responsible for kids, because their kids know no love discipline rules etc and the kids are just literally bouncing off the walls because they eat that much crap & thats what the lazy parents have allowed them to do whilst they are sat on fb for hours, and TRUST me i have heard people shout "I think they have adhd" when its clear as crystal the kids are just little gits who need some love and firm boundaries...... i think thats what annoys people-

Most people can see qualities in a child and know when theres something quite not right and seek help- they dont not take them to get help and scream it from the rooftops
