I am a massive fan of Kirsty and of Leela, so I am biased but I am shocked to see very little praise of Kirsty's performance from last night's episodes and the whole story.

Last night's e4 episode saw in my opinion her strongest and most touching portrayal of Leela and I also have to give buckets of congratulations to Ruby who plays Peri. For a 14 year old girl, the subtlety that she conveyed Peri's pain, confusion and turmoil with was absolutely stunning IMO and I was really impressed with her. In addition to their individual performances, I must say that their chemistry is beautiful and very realistic. It is very rare on Hollyoaks these days that I find there to be moving chemistry in terms of relationships, friendships and family bonds. The moment where Leela and Peri hugged and cried gave me goosebumps, I could feel the love and the pain between the pair of them.

I cannot wait to see more from the pair of them, but particularly Kirsty and I am thrilled that they have put a strong actress, an engaging character and a unique, complex, dramatic yet rich story. Leela is the first character IMO in years that has a kind, good heart but is interesting, fiery, different and is played by a good actress with charisma and talent. Also, she has the ability to create strong relationships with a variety of existing and new characters.

She's a very competent actress, a credit to Hollyoaks.

I think Ruby O Donell is one of the best young performers in soaps and Ella May Duncarie who's adorable.

Kristy Leigh Porter is amazing unfortunately the crash had to happen which completely shunned their performances die to how awful it was.

I felt sorry for her having to perform that "Kat and Zoe Lite" scene "You're not are ya???"

But she did alright.

I've found her acting really poor some of the time.

I was dubious when she first started, but Ive really taken to her. Think shes a great actress and has made the character really likeable!

I think she's been very good in the Peri storyline. I like Lizzie Roper too, but do feel she sometimes overacts.

She's brilliant imo, definitely the best of the Lomaxes although the actress who plays Peri is a very talented young girl!

I agree, I think she's a good actress but her crying scenes sometimes make me giggle.

I have really enjoyed seeing Kirsty-Leigh play quite a diverse character in Leela. She had to portray quite a bit of panic and heartache over Peri being taken away from her. I am beginning to feel as though her Emmerdale role as Roz was just a rehearsal compared to the variety and depth Kirsty-Leigh is given in Leela.

I also thought Kirsty-Leigh looked gorgeous even when having to handle news of her parents' death. Leela has more reason to remember them with horror than Tegan, and this showed in her comparative detachment after a few hours.
