Has Tom Cunningham actually been adopted by Frankie and Jack Osborne?

Im sure I remember a storyline that involved Tom's adoption... I have a feeling it was either before/after he was kidnapped by Sienna. I think it was his birthday present?

Tom's family tree confuses me. I don't know who his parents were as I didn't watch then. So Mandy is his sister? Is Cindy also his sister? Who's his second brother? I know Max. Seriously wtf so Frankie and Jack are his sister in-law's parents who bring him up but Nancy and Darren also bring him up. Jesus he really is that one guy who's related to everyone.

Mandy is Tom's half sister on his mum's side and Cindy is his half sister on his dad's side. Lewis Richardson is his second brother (on his mum's side).

Steph and Tom lived with Jack, Frankie and Darren and after Steph's death, Tom continued living with them. As a birthday present last year, Jack and Frankie were going to adopt him. Ruby kicked off about it for whatever reason and as far as I know, the adoption didn't go ahead.

Jack had a child with Toms half sister dawn not sure that would make tom and jack relatives though. Brothers in law I suppose.

As I have just seen, she was indeed his niece not his cousin. Stupid mistake on my part.

Toms parent had him quite late in life they both had much older adult children from previous marriages. Lewis and Mandy on his mums side and Dawn, Jude, Cindy and Max on his dad's side. Both his half-brothers have since died and also his half-sister Dawn. After his parents death Tom was being brought up by his half-brother Max when Max died his widow Steph took over caring for Tom and then when Steph died her mum Frankie and stepdad Jack took over looking after him.

Tom' patents were Gordon cunningham and Helen Richardson, both of whom already had children. Helen's 2 children were Lewis and Mandy. Gordon's children were Dawn, Jude, Cindy and Max. Dawn died of Cancer before Tom was born. Lewis killed himself when Tom was a couple of years old and Max was killed in a car accident about 4 years ago. Gordon and Helen were also killed in a car accident when Tom was about 4.
Tom isn't blood related to any of the Osborne but he has ended up with them because Steph, Frankie's deceased daughter was married to Max.

Did Mandy pretty much agree with steph when she had the cancer that Tom would stay with Frankie and Jack if he wanted too. Was the custody left to max and Mandy as they were the only ones there when Gordon and Helen died? Is that why Cindy has never got him?

Also with Grace I had completely forgotten about her anyway.

The boy does have an awful curse going on.

I think Mandy got full custody initially, before letting Max and OB keep him because she couldn't cope due to her relationship problems and domestic violence against Tony.

Cindy wasn't living in the country when they died plus Social Services had concerns about her fitness as a parent so she would probably have had trouble getting custody.

Thanks everyone for clearing that up. Tbh its all still pretty confusing to read. I was mainly confused by the Cindy/Mandy part I didn't start watching until about 2007/8 so wasn't sure about the parents. I didn't know Jack had another child Tom fits in well with the Osbournes as their fairly confusing as well! Also its annoying how we never see Cindy and Tom communicate.

Oh okay thanks for that. I'm pretty god with most hollyoaks history but this is one story that confused me. So Mandy must have agreed for Tom to stay with both Steph and the jack and Frankie. I guess Mandy was scared of being killed off if she had him. Think Jack and Frankie must be is longest surfing guardians I think.

The adoption thing got dropped after Ruby's reveal/heart attack and was never brought up again.
