Like many I really like to chill out and relax to some good music. However, perhaps more strangely
I really like music videos too, sure they can be cheesy, cliché and so on but they can be quite funny and artistic too and just seem to add something you don't get when just listening to the track on its own.
I used to use Music on Demand on Virgin Media for my music video fix but that is no longer available after I reduced my subscription. However, in hindsight it was a bit basic and slow anyway with no playlist or recommendation facility. VidZone, with the power of the PS3/4 behind it is a nicer experience, with a great fast and fluid interface and the ability to set up playlists and see artist recommendations. However, even on highest settings the video and audio quality, though not awful, could be a bit better with a little bit of blocking on the video and some distortion on some tracks (it’s not my connection I have 100mb cable). Were that the only problem I wouldn't mind too much but worst of all are the intrusive ads that seem to kick in every 7-8 minutes and disable all playback control, so they can’t be skipped, plus they are always for the same stupid products. I know these companies have to make some money but they could be a bit more flexible about it, I’d much rather suffer the ads all upfront then have a couple of uninterrupted hours music.
I even considered getting a subscription to Music Unlimited or Spotify but then found they don’t have any music videos, they only stream audio, surely they are missing a trick here? I would have thought many would find a premium music video service with decent quality and no awful ads a really cool feature.
So basically, is there a good music video streaming service that keeps the ads down, the quality up and has a reasonable library?
