Iain, I appreciate that you took a risk standing up as project manager on a task that wasn't especially suited to you but I think it's clear that this task has exposed some faults you have as a candidate which you even admit yourself...

Steve, as I said your negativity really does not help you out but at the end of the day this is entirely my own decision and I will not base this decision on what you said - the question is, do I agree with your stance on this task?

Steve, you're fired.

Whilst your negativity may have been unwarranted on some occassions and I do believe you've been a better candidate than you may think, on this occasion I think it is warranted - your pitch received the most negative feedback and when placed against the other candidates who remain at this late stage of the competition you pale in comparison, and I think it's evident that this is your time to go. Thank you for taking part, and I hope you have enjoyed your time in this game.

Iain, this has not been your best task and I'm pretty sure you know that, I hope you learn some things from this task and improve on them in the next task as your run up to now had been pretty much faultless.

That concludes tonight's boardroom.
