Corrie: Lloyd - what a saddo!
I never really read much about Lloyd on here and so I guess he's a bit of a non- entity but seriously, I really cannot stand this guy! I have NEVER seen anyone so desperate for a woman and I just KNOW he will end up taking that awful Andrea back. He acts like he's on heat when he gets a girlfriend and in my opinion I don't really rate him as much of a mate either. Steve really cares about Lloyd but I was stunned the other week when he found out that Andrea didn't live at that house and he told Steve to get out the car!!! Steve even said that they were miles away and he still asked him to get out. What a git. He is so selfish he didn't give a toss about his friendship with Steve and just went straight ahead and started sleeping with/dating Liz! I be the would have something to say if Steve wanted to date Jenna...if she was straight that is....
Can't stand him at all. And as for the way he acted with Mandy..that was just a joke. He's rubbish; they really should axe him then that silly cow Andrea can go with him. |

I don't buy his relationship with Andrea at all. Him and Mandy were a joke and don't get me started on Liz and Cheryl.
Just make Lloyd single so the chances of these fall outs and upset stop |

Lloyd should just have scenes with Steve and Eileen in the cab office. He becomes quite unlikeable when he's in a relationship

I like Lloyd. There's something natural and normal about him, which is a refreshing change in soap. Some men are losers in love,; Lloyd personifies that. And Craig Charles has immaculate comic timing, which is far harder than the overwrought screeching that some believe is the hallmark of good acting.

They tried to give him a major storyline with little fireman/racism but he wasn't up to the challenge. As you say, better he takes a minor role bouncing off Eileen and Steve.
To be fair to him with the racism storyline, it was horrifically written. I don't know if anyone could have made that work. |

I agree. His friendship with Steve and Eileen is his redeeming feature. Keep it at that and no more heavy storylines. Some characters are like that. I don't much care for Norris but as long as his scenes are only with Rita, Emily or Mary I can put up with him, just

I like Lloyd, his banter with Steve is first class but he does get lost when he's not in the cab office or the pub. The racism story was poor but the ludicrous grafted on family was even worse. Mandy was so dire that her finest hour was losing her tortoise. Jenna is so lame that she would have been put down if she were a horse.

I agree with others that Lloyd is fine as a foil to Steve in the cab office, but all efforts to make him a stand-alone character have been epic fails imo.
I'm just praying that Hayley Tamagotchi is on a short term contract and her hubby will turn into a psychopathic stalker and eventually murder her. ![]() If we need background pointless filler couples, (and imo we don't), then we've got CodCilla and Kirky. ![]()

Those faces Lloyd was pulling on Friday made him look mentally challenged. He really is a skank and its pretty unbelievable Andrea who must be 10 years his junior and quite attractive would be so madly in love with the loser.

As for his relationship with Andrea...meh we shall see, I think it is going to end up with the husband 'stalking' her obsessively...kidnap maybe

Kidnapping to what end? Is he going to send himself a ransom note? And would anyone else be prepared to pay more than about 37p for her?

I think Craig Charles is one of the better actors in Corrie, they just seem to give Lloyd awful storylines. He is great with Steve and Eileen but saddling him with Andrea has been cringing. She is just a Gurning Gertie and does nothing but bare her teeth.
Craig does comedy well and he showed he can do drama too, he was just brillliant when Cheryl left Lloyd, other than on a few occasions, the writers don't seem to do him justice at all. Give me Lloyd any day over wooden Michele with her hands on her hips or standing around like Pinnocchio's sister with a clipboard. There is a long list of characters in Corrie I would rather leave before Lloyd. |

I don't feel he is worthy of Steve's friendship at all. In fact I'm struggling to think of one time he's actually been there as a mate for Steve. |
